裡夫拉勒2222米度假村(Riffelalp Resort 2222m)

Riffelalp resort was one of the best experiences of our time in Switzerland. Our experiences of the hotel, even just for 2 nights, were exceptional. The staff in every communication before arrival was extremely informative and very pleasant. At the hotel, people were exceptionally helpful and kind. The hotel itself is located on the side of the mountain with one of the most stunning views of the Matterhorn that you could ever imagine (weather cooperating, of course!). The hotel itself is lovely, with excellent restaurants and a cozy bar with amazing views. I was concerned that beds would be too hard, but they were comfortable, and our junior suite was lovely. My husband has mobility issues, but they were not a problem here with an elevator to get to our floor. Getting to the hotel required that we take the Gornergrat cog rail from Zermatt, which initially concerned me, but actually, it is quite easy to get both to/from Zermatt and to the top where other stunning views can of the Matterhorn and Alps can be seen. The staff has quite an organized system for transporting luggage from the hotel down to the train station in Zermatt so that you don't have to worry about it. It is a short walk (8 minutes) to from the hotel to the cog rail, or there is a tram that can take you. Rifflealp is about midway between Zermatt and the top, and there is a lot of good hiking possible. But the two best things about Riffelalp Resort are the smell of the trees and the oxygen in the air as you walk to and from the railway. But also the absolute SILENCE of the place -- no cars, sirens, just the still, calm, sound of human voices and nature. My only regret was that we could not spend more than 2 nights here -- I give any traveler considering it an enthusiastic and passionate "YES" recommendation.

Situé au cœur de la montagne, cet hôtel est magnifique ! On ne peut y accéder qu’en train et donc que de jour mais cela en fait son charme ! Comme il y a 3 restaurants et le bar , vous pouvez varier les plaisirs chaque soir ! Le restaurant principal propose des plats raffinés et excellents : on s’est régalés ! Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très bien ! Il y a un cigare lounge pour les amateurs avec un beau choix de cigares à prix raisonnable ! Le personnel est adorable et très professionnel ! Les massages sont de qualité ! Si le temps est dégagé, vous aurez une superbe vue sur le mont cervin !

5回目の滞在です。何度来ても飽きることのないロケーションです。今回もLHWで予約してアップグレードしてくれました。ジュニアスイートはテラスにローベッドがあるので朝はコーヒーを飲みながらマッターホルンを寝ながら楽しみました。 部屋の掃除やコーヒー、水、フルーツは使った分だけ補充を1日に2回はしてくれますし、申し訳ないくらいサービスが良いです。 今回はランチボックス付きのプランにしましたが大きなサンドイッチが2つと水750ml、フルーツ、チョコとついてとてもお得でした。 朝食もとても美味しく2200mにいながら不自由のないホテルライフが過ごせます。

When I tell you this is SPECTACULAR, it truly is. My husband and I have visited many nice resorts and hotels but this is not one to miss. We questioned back and fourth on if we should stay in Zermatt downtown but we are SO GLAD we didn’t. Being at the resort feels like home and royalty all in one. There truly is no detail missed. We booked the Matterhorn superior suite and had the BEST view, even without splurging for a huge suite. It was still very spacious and we loved our porch with the amazing view. We went to the wonderful spa each day and truly felt so pampered. While this was perfect for couples, it was also great for families. There were many families and ample activities for children. The restaurants at the resort were also AMAZING, no words other than amazing. We thought we would end up going to eat in Zermatt but stayed because the food was that good. If there is a downfall the only downfall/negative is having to pay for up and down on the train to arrive to the resort. While we ended up hiking often we didn’t pay for many times as we thought. Thus, if you are thinking about buying the peak pass- think again— you likely won’t use it worth its cost. We are so glad we paid per trip rather than spend the money on the pass. All in all this was a trip of a lifetime and I hope to come back to Riffelalp one day with our entire family. Thank you for your hospitality!

The resort is incredible. The best reason to stay, of course, is its location. my wife and I stayed down in the town at the excellent Mont Cervin palace the night before since I was running the Zermatt marathon and that was more convenient to getting to the start below, but to give you an idea of how wonderful the resort is, they send an employee down on the wonderful train who met my wife and took our luggage to the top. They have their own cute little train that takes you from the main train station to their property. The marathon route went right by the resort and when I saw it, I was blown away by its beauty. After the race, we took the train back down two stops, and I was treated like royalty. The staff was super friendly and professional. Our room was wonderful and had a great view of the Matterhorn, which when the clouds parted, was jaw-dropping. The food was excellent and they had many vegan and healthy options (thank you). The facilities were great, including the outside pool with the close view of the mountains and an huge sauna, whirlpool, and crazy grotto cave area. Excellent massage was given by Gia Franco. There is hiking and other activities all around you. We hated to leave.
