Good value dining, a menu that does actually get updated and changed , and a selection of starter and main course daily specials, plus speedy and friendly service. The Heemskirk bistro offers good value 'go to' meals such as a roast of the day, schnitzels and parmies but is also a good place to find a reasonably priced curry made by the Sri Lankan chef that also includes a gigantic poppadom. In recent visits have had some great specials including the fish of the day pan fried Barramundi, lamb backstrap with couscous and a real winter warmer rabbit stew with mashed potato !!. Salad and veggie options also available. Would highly recommend.
