約克賽特萊斯旅館

我和媽媽在 Settlers House 度過了愉快的三天。我們住在後院的一間傳統客房裡，這是一個完美的地點。房間很乾淨，床很舒服，很有家的感覺。工作人員很棒，這是一個非常繁忙的周末，有約克秀，但對他們來說沒有什麼是太多的，他們竭盡全力為每個人提供住宿。約克的 Jukes 的戶外娛樂活動非常精彩，當然也吸引了人群。 Settlers 的氛圍如此令人驚嘆，餐點很美味，酒吧也很棒。約克是一個美麗的小鎮，有著悠久的歷史，我們會回來的。如果您去約克，我強烈推薦 Settlers House 作為您的住宿

Stayed here on one of the hottest days on record in Perth (Feb 9th) Aircon in the room was so icy cool though and the beds were comfortable! The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious and so filling! There was some local live music on too. York is such an underrated little spot not far from Perth and Settler's House is great comfort and value for money if you want to stay right in town.

This place is a joke, and is letting the town down. This was a complimentary stay offered to us after our awful first time. Upon our arrival, Jenny was in the middle of dealing with another guest’s problem in that they couldn’t get into their room, literally- the lock was broken. So they were moved to another, without the spa bath they had booked- needless to say they were not impressed. At 39 degrees outside, we were keen to get the air con going. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to be working. My partner had a look and noticed the filters were filthy so removed and cleaned. Air con worked after this. In the bar, we were told the wine we ordered had gone up from the price in the menu- seems they’ didn’t have time to change the prices.’ We suggested that we will be paying the advertised price. Finally, when ready for sleep, we pulled the rug back to find blood stains on it. Ahh!!! Never again, sorry.

Our stay at Settlers house was disappointing. The location is perfect right in the centre of town with privet parking. Shame our room was infested with ants, I understand ants are hard to control but vacuuming the carpets would be a good place to start. Our bed didn’t have a head board, which made me Very uncomfortable knowing the level of bugs in the room. I woke up groggy, needing a coffee I open the cupboard looking for the mugs and to my horror I see the ants have claimed the mugs and spoons, not the best start to my day, I have a shower, unable to remove shower head or lower shower head I have to wash my hair. Shame I couldn’t dry it though, no hair dryer provided which I thought was rather unfair untill my husband tried to get a shower and no more than a trickle came out, standing there in the nude in absolute despair how a paying customer cannot even enjoy the facilities they have paid for he tries the taps, no nothing not even a trickle in the tap. Did they shut the water off? Was the water pressure low ? Not a soul in sight to ask. Luckily the kettle had water in it from the previous guests so he tripped that into the sink and had a flannel wash. We left, annoyed shocked and cold from wet hair and a shivering flannel wash. Settlers house is a beautiful historic building with a lovely pub in the centre of it all, unfortunately the lack of care in the rooms for guests let me down.
