Excellent location and comfortable bed. Great with coffee maker ! The bar also provides range of beer and food.

I have stayed at the Half Moon many times. On the last 3 times I have not been able to park in the hotel car park because all the spaces are taken by shoppers. The only alternative is to go to the public car park which is about 500m away, pay £10 and carry luggage back and forth. I don’t understand why Marstons cannot allocate spaces for their hotel customers - the adjacent hotel has allocated spaces. The hotel should not advertise free parking when it is not available.

The location is very good being a short walk from the station and in the centre of Sherborne. However, the room was very plain and expensive at the price. Breakfast was not included.

My flight was delayed and I arrived well after closing, the receptionist was great, really helpful.

Welcoming and helpful staff comfortable bed. Room could do with a bit of maintenance. Wallpaper peeling in places etc. Excellent location though

Nice welcome and friendly staff throughout stay. Bedroom clean and tidy, only issue was the wash basin not draining properly, slowly draining.

I was not impressed. The whole place needs updating. We had a blocked sink which was not attended too having reported it. There is a horrible stain in the bath and the toilet needed bleaching as it was badly stained! It was grubby! Stains all round.
In there favour the beds were comfortable and clean also the towels were clean.
There was a shortage of toilet roll.
The breakfast was enjoyable!
The hotel was noisy!
We won’t be back.

Did what we needed for an overnight stay. Reasonably priced for what you get big family room massive bed and very comfortable, parking to the rear no problems. Few beers then fall into bed . The boys beds big and comfortable too. Staff very helpful
For the price we paid would stay again without a doubt.

First time staying at the Half Moon, having stayed at several other B&Bs in Sherborne over the past few years. Check-in was quick and friendly. Double room was small, basic and tired (NB website photos are realistic!) - so a little disappointing. That said, it seemed clean and we had hot water and good water pressure in the shower.
