A great Independent Hotel in a small country town with lots of Independent shops (and even a small Cinema) The Full Breakfast I had was easily the best this year. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good Staff were helpful and friendly. Room 9 was clean, tidy and spacious with a very comfy King size bed. Would definitely return, Lots of places to go nearby and for views to the West, overlooking the River Severn and towards the Forest of Dean are spectacular. Suggest the Tyndale Monument and the Car Park at far end of the road to Stinchcombe Golf Club on a clear day

We visited the not too far away Bristol Aerospace and then spent 2 nights at the Swan Hotel. Our stay was for dinner B&B which was great value. Our 1st night was Sunday and we both had roast beef. It was delicious with loads of fresh veggies. Great beer too and very friendly staff. Our room was comfy and warm. And we enjoyed a long walk on the Monday morning followed by a wander around the little town. Our dinner by the fire finished the visit off very nicely. Fish and chips were gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely stay xx

We have just returned home after a 3-night stay. This was our second visit & this hotel is excellent. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful & all areas are kept spotless. Our room was kept very clean by the lovely Racheal who worked very hard in this hot weather. Well done to you all & thanks for making our stay perfect.

The staff at this place are exceptional! Me and my new bride had our wedding reception here and was not disaapointed, fantastic food, rooms and service!! I would highly recommend for a stay, events or even just a drink! Also the food is very very good 😊

First class , delicious Sunday lunch , service excellent, didn’t have to wait long and everything was hot and very tasty , everything was fresh Love this place , will be returning very soon , recommend booking

Really nice stay, stayed here with two friends.We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night, the food was really nice. Mine and my friends room were really nice with a lovely high spec shower. Breakfast was nice. Staff were helpful, chatty, and friendy. Would reccomend.

Booked a table in the bar for 12pm …. Always book the bar , it’s got more atmosphere. Picked the table right next to the log fire , very cosy … Lots of free tables but soon started to fill up … Menu choice very good , and very well priced . Coffee excellent

We had a very warm welcome on arriving at the hotel. As a family who had two rooms connected by a bathroom. Everything was very clean and well presented. We had all the facilites needed. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and were made to feel at home. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic! There are some beautiful walks and great views to take in. My children didn't want to leave! Thank you for a lovely few days.

Lovely hotel, nice clean recently refurbished rooms. The bar area is not very big but the atmosphere is really nice. Lots of locals using it. Down side was there was a large TV on the wall, which is fine left on if anyone was actually watching it. Food was good. The staff friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. I would certainly go back.
