Residence Inn New Haven Hamden

Room was fine with plenty of space. Was given a handicapped room which we didnt ask for. Height of counters seemed low and the seat in the shower took up lots of space. It was by a side entrance door so we heard the door slam every time someone came in or out. Enjoyed the firepit. Breakfast was OK. The biggest issue was the trash barrels left in the hallway on our way to breakfast. They were there all day all 3 days we were there. They sometimes had unbagged food in them which felt very unsanitary. I have never seen this at any hotel. Location worked for my business needs.

I booked a room with 2 queens and a Sofia bed because there were 3 of us. They gave me a room with a King and a sofa bed and said they didn’t have 2 queens available

My experience was outstanding from start to finish. Customer service provide by all staff was top notch. Ample and safe parking. Many dining options in the area. The breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious! The suite was comfortable and spacious. Overall the experience exceeded my expectations.

We stayed at the residence inn for two nights while we were moving out of our home even though the price for this location was ridiculous (over $250 /night for Hamden, CT). We picked the hotel since it was near our neighborhood, and it was new so we thought it would be nice and clean with good service. It was very clean. The service was beyond slow and the staff acted like you were bothering them anytime you asked anything. during our 2 day stay our TV and the internet were not working. We needed internet in order to work and to keep our 3 kids busy while We worked. We asked to have the TV fixed. Someone came up to fix it and told us it couldn’t be fixed. Then we asked about the internet and were told this was an issue on that floor of the hotel. Maybe someone could have told us this before they put us in this suit? I asked to be switched and was told the hotel was fully booked. I asked for the price to be reduced or some kind of discount given that we didn’t have two important amenities that they were supposed to have. I was told they couldn’t discount or reduce because we booked through *******. I was told to call ******* and then ******* would have to call them. I get that. So then I spent 20 min on the phone with ******* who kept trying to reach the hotel to confirm the issues. They told me they were calling and no picked up. I stood right by the reception area watching as the phone rang and no one answered it. Over $630 with no wifi or TV for 2 days = horrible experience

I paid through ******* for hotel, but double charged by hotel. Still no resolution to this issue. Wont book Marriott nor ******* until the double charges are refunded to my card. Very disappointed customer. 🙄
