Friendly lady and beautiful house

Gorgeous b and b and really welcoming hosts. We got to Windermere early and Jane messaged to say she was able to get the room ready early Room itself was lovely and plenty of on street parking, even on a Saturday. Quiet street and gorgeous breakfast as well. We hope to stay again!

Jane and Paul are attentive and welcoming hosts. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. The property is conveniently located equidistantly between Windermere and Bowness. There is ample roadside parking at the front of the property. The rooms are well done up and kept clean with sufficient toiletries. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. We felt well looked after and would definitely return.

Owners and hospitality: second to none, lovely people whom make you feel at home Food: Lovely and well presented Other: Great selection of DVDs to borrow for those cozy nights in after long walks. Maps available and great advice on where to go. A real home from home I really can't recommend this place enough. The location is perfect, the rooms are lovely (and spotless) with thoughtful little touches to make your stay perfect, such as a Kendal mint cake on your pillow! One of the most endearing things about this place is Paul and Sue, they really go out of their way to make your stay personalised and special. Each morning they cook your breakfast with the kitchen doors open so you can have a bit of banter and chat, they make their home your home for the stay. They can give you great advice on where to go and how to get there and really listen during conversations, as they are sure to ask you how it went the next morning. The breakfasts are lovely and the options available are more than adequate. I have traveled to the lakes most years since I was little, however after coming across this gem of a guest house, I will certainly be returning here at least once a year- if they'll have us! Be sure to book quickly as with only a few rooms and such good quality for price, you'll be the one missing out.

The b+b is well placed and is just a short walk to both Windermere and Bowness, and a short drive to most attractions and places of interest. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside and the breakfast is a great start to the day and the owners are happy to cook the breakfast to your liking. All but one room has an ensuite (the one we were in) but the bathroom is large and has a full size bath with plenty of shampoo, condition, body wash and body/hand cream although it was on the floor below down a flight of stairs. There was a good selection of DVDs on offer and a flat screen tv, and free wi-fi in all rooms.
