The English Breakfast - cereal, juice, hot beverage, toast, 2 eggs, bacon, 2 sausages, beans - was very good value at £10 per day.
The hotel is within walking distance (for a 67 year old) to the Wimbledon Tube station, The Broadway (shopping district), Wimbledon Common and the High Street in Wimbledon Village.
The major drawback was BEDBUGS - I killed 11 of them over 4 days, some of them leaving blood stains on the bedding. I left notes for the maid about the situation but she didn't pass them on to management. When I told management of the problem just before checking out he was upset that he hadn't been told about the situation by the maid and refunded me £40.
The room needed minor repairs to some of the fixtures - i.e. door handle on wardrobe missing a screw, sink faucet in bathroom not secure.
The provision of a TV with cable, kettle, iron (but no ironing board), and hair dryer were appreciated.
The faucet in the shower was very sensitive so adjusting temperature of the water was difficult - plus the shower itself was so small that it was hard to turn around without changing the setting on the faucet setting you at risk of cold or scalding water. Hot water took a minute or two to arrive first thing in the morning but it was very hot once it arrived. The heating in the room did not have a separate control so you had to rely on whatever setting the rest of the building was at.
I would rent again if I was guaranteed that the bedbug problem had been taken of.
