Wir waren im Dezember für 4 Tage im Serendipity. Elsabe ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin, in Ihrem traumhaften Haus. Das Zimmer mit der Terrasse ist wunderschön, man hat ein herrlichen Blick auf den Fluss. Man geht einfach von der Terasse aus ein paar Stufen herunter und ist schon am Fluss, indem man auch schwimmen kann oder sich einfach ein Kanu nimmt und den Fluss entlang paddelt. Im Zimmer gibt es neben Kaffee und Tee auch Elsabes selbstgebackene Rusks ( die besten ), und eine kleine Karaffe mit Portwein. Das Frühstück, war hervorragend und liebevoll serviert. Wir haben im Serendipity 2 mal zu Abend gegessen und es sehr genossen . Das Essen ist hervorragend, sehr kompetenter Service, tolle Weine. Das Haus und die Umgebung sind sehr sicher. Absolute Empfehlung.

Les 4 convives étaient unanimes sur la qualité des mets et le bon déroulé de la soirée . Parfait équilibre. Vin très bon . Le tout à prix raisonnable. On reviendra

We celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a fabulous time. Staying over was an excellent choice. We had the tasting menu and wine pairing. This is truly fine dining!

Exceptional meal at Serendipity. Host gave in depth explanation of the different courses. We chose the 8 course with wine pairing. Some very unique wines chosen. They accommodated my wife who is pescatarian with no fuss. My favourite courses were the springbok and the pigeon while my wife enjoyed the white beans. Definitely a must if in the area. - compares very favorably with some of the better known restaurants in Cape Town

Based on a previous visit, we took our daughter who was visiting from overseas to Serendipity for a special evening out with a much-anticipated fine dining/wine pairing experience. The cocktails, food and wine pairings were very good, thanks to Lizelle and her staff. We were seated in a small closed-off room with tables for 6, 3 and 2 diners. Unfortunately, the loudness from the table of 6, further aggravated by the host Rudolf, who would often join in the raucous conversation, ruined the evening for us. The noise prevented us from enjoying the food in pleasant surroundings, able to have our own conversation. It was so loud that one of the hostesses had to ask if we could hear her. In an expensive so-called fine dining restaurant where the ambience should play a big role, our visit was disappointing.
