We have just returned from our short stay at the best b&b we have ever been to. We booked into the Agent's House and stayed in the Montgomery Coach House and it was brilliant. The breakfasts were lovely, the service that Fiona and James provide was excellent and the pizzas were the best we have ever tasted. We will definitely be going back.

Myself and my wife stayed at James and Fiona’s beautiful B&B while attending a local show. We arrived late in the evening but were greeted and shown to our room. A stunningly decorated interior which follows through the whole house and the room had a large en-suite bathroom and good size walk in shower. The breakfast options will suit all tastes and my wife had the home made chilli crumpets on our second morning which she told me where the best she has ever had. There is a local pub about 100 metres from the accommodation and we are there both night. The food is good, hot and large portions. Very pleasant owners and without doubt we will return next time we are in the area.

Stayed here last week on a business trip and was impressed from the minute I arrived.Beautiful property in a stunning location. Fiona the owner met me and showed me to my lovely room that faced the front so I had a view of the cows in the field opposite and hills in the distance. The room was lovely and clean with every option of tea and coffee you could need.Fiona encouraged me to make use of the balcony next to my room, which I did to take photographs .Very peaceful setting with just the sound of birds, pure bliss…. I ate dinner in the pub just down the road which also has amazing views but couldn’t wait to get back to my lovely room with a view. Breakfast was amazing, and lots of choice ,I opted for the crumpets with bacon.Again another beautiful setting looking out on to the lavender garden in the front of the house. Such a lovely place to stay with a great couple making it a perfect experience, I’ll be back on my next trip.Thank you Natalie

This is a fabulous guest house. The owners, Fiona and James, are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are lovely and comfortable (our bathroom was stunning). There is a real family atmosphere, partly because of Fiona and James's two dogs and three cats all of whom are delightful and well-behaved. The house is on a quiet lane and overlooks fields with hills in the distance and the River Wye just down the road. A swallow's nest in the eaves on the balcony outside our room provided hours of entertainment! For evening meals there's The Boat - literally a two minute walk away (where you can sit outside to eat and watch the herons and other river life) which serves hearty pub grub (and plenty of it) for a reasonable price; or the Bridge, a short drive away located on the banks of the river at the Toll Bridge and which serves more cordon bleu-style food. I can also recommend the Old Black Lion in Hay which is about 4 miles away. All in all it was a perfect stay. I thoroughly recommend the Agent's House and I look forward to staying there again.

What a first rate B&B this is. Everything was first class.Superb spacious room with lovely views. Bathroom also large with a fantastic walk in shower. The only sounds were the birds. After a good nights sleep we were treated to a wonderful breakfast. Thank you James and Fiona.

An amazing warm welcome at this spotless B&B room lovely with use of balcony so relaxing. Great nights sleep and wonderful breakfast. We will be back again. Great please for a base to visit the area.

Sur trois semaines de voyage dans le sud de l'Angleterre, c'est le meilleur B&B où nous avons logé. Un accueil chaleureux dans une magnifique maison, au calme. Une grande chambre et salle de bain. Un délicieux petit déjeuner avec des fruits frais.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable with great facilities inside the kitchen cupboard. The food was very good quality. On arrival we had an excellent introduction by Steve who told us about the history of the buildings and it was nice to see that much of the history has been retained. Nothing was too much trouble for Alison and Steve and they came in every day to spruce the room up as well. Although it’s in a very quiet location, it’s only a 100yards away from the local pub, which was great and had nice food. It’s located close to Brecon and the Black mountains for some excellent walks, with easy access to Hay on wire. It’s only a twenty minute drive to Hereford as well. We would definitely stay again. We had a fantastic time. Thank you Alison and Steve.

Alison and Steven were great hosts. The spacious accommodation was fitted out to a fabulous standard, with all requirements well catered for and with many interesting and useful touches. The bed was large and very comfortable. The locally sourced items provided for breakfast were top quality and very tasty. Altogether we had a great relaxing stay.
