After booking months in advance, I got a confirmation email regarding accommodation at the Trinity Links Resort on the 5th March 2025 from Margirita stating that it was for a three-bedroom Deluxe Golf View Apartment for our stay from the 22nd July 2025 until the 30th July 2025. I mentioned in my telephone conversation with Margirita that I had a son with special needs and requested an earlier check in. Margarita said she had noted this and asked me to call the resort on arrival in Cairns to let them know that I had arrived and they would accommodate this. On arrival in Cairns on the 22nd July at 10.45am, I called and spoke with Mr Mark Moss (General Manager), who suggested that I get some lunch and make my way to the resort by 1pm by which time the room will be ready. I arrived at the resort at 1pm and was told that the room was still not ready and it will be available in 20 minutes. At 1.30 pm I once again approached the front desk and spoke with Sarah. Sarah was extremely rude, unhelpful and uninterested in helping us. She would not say what our room number was and just mentioned that it was poolside and was still not ready. I again went to the front desk at 3 pm and was told that the room was still unavailable. Sarah said that she would not contact housekeeping and interrupt them to check if the room has been completed. She then went on to say that if we would give her ten minutes, she would be able to leave her desk and go to check on the status of the room with the cleaners. After stating that Margirita had told us that Apartment 80 is the Deluxe 3 Bedroom apartment that was allocated to us, check in commenced. We only obtained the keys at 3.30pm which is two and a half hours later than promised. We sat outside Reception waiting for check in to happen. The room was not poolside as they suggested when we arrived but was the golf view apartment that we had originally booked. Records in the apartment by cleaners showed that this room had already been cleaned on the 21st July 2025 and was ready for us to use when we had arrived according to the documentation in the room. To add further insult to our excessive wait times, Mr Mark Moss (General Manager) stated that had he known that we had a person with special needs, there was no way he would have stated that the room would be ready earlier and that check in would not be until 4pm which is the time stated on the website. I found this statement very insulting and rude but also a very discriminatory statement. The room that they gave us was not the same as described on the website. There were no bed heads, no DVD player, no Foxtel, stained carpets, and certainly not recently renovated as mentioned when I booked the apartment. The air conditioning unit filter was dirty. Two downlights not working. Only one light in bedroom three. Light fittings were filthy and a live cockroach fell out of the bathroom light fitting. The clothes stand was broken, the coffee maker was not working and there was extreme

This was a lovely three bedroom, two bathroom apartment furnished with everything you need and an internal laundry and dishwasher. Its a gated quiet community with secure parking. It has two lovely swimming pools (we had it to ourselves every day) and a nice BBQ area. The reception area has free DVDs and some snacks to purchase. Kim very kindly gave us some tomato sauce for our BBQ. It is self catering so you will need to do a full grocery shop for your stay (the BBQs are great). I don't think it would suit guests who don't have their own car. The only noise I heard in the evening was the call of the curlew.

From the moment of check-in to the time of check out, we had a lovely weeks break at this beautiful resort. We had a motor vehicle, so getting around was not a problem, with the resort in an idyllic tropical setting away from the bustle of the city, but still only a short drive from all facilities. All the staff were super friendly and efficient, nothing a problem, and we'll be sure to look at returning to this property if deciding to visit Cairns again in the future.

This is a nice well maintained 1980s style resort. The rooms are spacious and the pool is excellent. The gardens are lovely and staff are very pleasant. The problem is its location. It is about 8km out of Cairns CBD and not on the coast. It's bounded by the Vruce Highway and an industrial park. For us that is a game changer. You would need a car. There are better options on the outskirts of the CBD

Our week in this well appointed accomodation was made ibto a oleasurable experience because we could just enjoy our time there without having to stock up with essentials. Quality fittings and apoliances with pkenty of glasses and crockery took the hassle out of self catering.

This resort is quite a way of of town. It has pleasant tropical pool areas viewed from unit balconies. It is rather dated and could do with renovations. Spacious units though with pleasant balconies.

The apartment was beautifully appointed and perfectly maintained with good block out curtains, no noise from other occupants, and contained a complete range of appliances and facilities to make out stay an enjoyable and hassle-free experience. The landscaping of the resort ensures there is no street noise. Extra marks for having a tea pot and milk jug! I enjoyed the artfully landscaped pool and lush tropical plants that cocooned me away from the world. On the third floor we were well positioned on our balcony to enjoy visits from the native birds. Kimberly and her team made us feel so very welcome and they certainly know how to make a perfect cup of coffee! We felt personally welcomed into their home. My husband and I made frequent use of the well-appointed gym. The extensive security and resort policy aimed at preventing rowdy behaviour ensured our visit was peaceful and uneventful.

When we checked in on the 6th Jan-11am receptionist came across rude. Never shown us a map of where our room was, and never went through amenities just gave us keys and pointed to left direction. Being wyndham club owners not impressed at all. Missing bar soap and hand cream. Rooms were clean, if you don't have a car using public transport bus cash only. Bus stop 5 min walk and pretty frequent. Carolyn had booked our Fitzroy Island experience. Excellent customer service from her left the receipt and brochure in our hotel room. When checking out she asked about our stay. Explained about the Fitzroy Island reservations were disorganised. Pool is beautiful. This is the 2nd time stayed here. 1st time was a better and friendly experience.
