Staffs are very helpful and friendly, clean room comfy bed will come back again

No extra pillows for pullout sofa in the closet, & the front desk claimed they had no extra pillows and suggested we fold a blanket to use as a pillow. Electric shades were completely broken (no battery cover on the non-working remote, & no way to manually roll up blinds). At night, there was a giant spotlight blasting through window, and no blackout curtains to make up for the non-operational window covering (which does not cover the window anywhere near enough to drown out the light). The pool area has signs all over mentioning a whirlpool that must have been removed recently. Instead of removing the switches and signs, someone thought it would look great to keep the signs and just cover the switches up with blank plates. These are all simple things that are inexpensively resolved, yet someone made an intentional choice to make (what probably once was) a nice hotel experience on par with a cheap motel. All that said, the manager has agreed to refund us for our stay, which is great. I hope this is a wake-up call for this place to get the basics right - like, walk around the property at night and see how many rooms are getting blasted with those spotlights, then go into the rooms when they are not occupied and see how the light washes the entire room. Or make sure there are extra pillows and blankets in the closet, especially for rooms where a customer is paying for a sleeper sofa. Lastly, don't ask customers to solve YOUR problems!

Great location, lots of shopping and dining choices nearby, including gas station, booze/convenience items, excellent market Bistro and uptown grille. Called a week earlier to arrange early check-in, used Hilton app to select room the day before and all was good.

We stayed due to a power outage at our home. The room was basic, but nice. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was simple but good. The pool was small and not many towels. Overall we were satisfied and thankful for a clean, warm place to stay.

On Check in, we were assigned the room that we had been assigned on a previous stay. That room had window shades that did not work -- they could not be lowered or raised. We had reported that in November, on our last stay. The shades had not been repaired. We were provided a new room in which the shades also did not work, but were at least in the closed position so that bright lights could not shine in the room. We were told that maintenance would be sent to the room to repair the shades. This never happened. We will never stay at this hotel again. I am not sure if we swill ever stay at a Hampton Inn or a Hilton hotel again.

We were charged $30 for “incidentals” that will be returned in “5 to 7 business day” after they determine we did no damage to the room. But the blinds were broke and the room had tears/buckles in the wall paper and cracks in the bathroom walls. AND when we checked out the lady behind the desk KNEW about the issues with the room. Terrible- it will be interesting if we have to fight for that $30. (Also think about what they do with everyone’s $$ for 5-7 days!)

So far so good. Pool area is pretty tight and my kids thought it was pretty cold so we didn’t stay. Facility seems clean and staff has been very friendly so far.
