We stayed in the sea view family room. It was comfortable and quiet. Facilities included a mini fridge with chilled water and fresh milk which makes a difference. Robes were provided and shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The only con was the bathroom. Shower pressure was very low. I struggled washing my long hair. Not much to be done about that though. The sink was very small so tricky to wash face. The host Melaney was very warm and welcoming and communications before our stay were great. Breakfast had plenty of choice, especially the pancakes! Have room until 11am on last day, so nice not to have to rush. We'll definitely be back.

Wir waren im Mai wurden enttäuscht das Haus 🏡 leider schon sehr abgewohnt Teppiche ziemlich dreckig auch Zimmer und Bad musste ich nach putzen Staub und eingetrockneter Schmutz auf Lampen Waschbecken Möbel sogar in teeutensilien Becher Schimmel alles schmuddelig würde ich nicht weiter empfehlen Matratze gut aber Bett denke ich hatte schon einige Jahre hinter sich war ziemlich instabil und laut sonst freundlich einfaches Frühstück aber gut bis auf Frühstücks Utensilien waren auch sehr unappetitlich platziert

I don't take pleasure in writing a poor review, but I rely on Tripadvisor to plan my travels and I appreciate accurate information from a variety of guests. This is my experience. Pros: friendly owner/staff, modern ensuite bathroom with a good shower, nice view from our window, snack for tea when we checked in. Cons: the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in!, top floor room up extremely narrow stairs made it not very accessible, breakfast room was dirty, granola container, knives and forks, etc. were dirty, breakfast was not good. I would not stay here again. Perhaps there are better beds in other rooms? Make sure to ask.

This is the perfect place to stay in Weymouth. First of all… THE VIEW!! It is called Channel View for a reason. The sea view rooms couldn’t possibly be any closer to the beach, with the most stunning view. My partner and I kept the blinds open so that when we opened our eyes in the morning the first thing we saw was the sea. Absolutely beautiful. Secondly… the host is absolutely brilliant. Melaney is very friendly and knows all the best places to go, from tourist sightseeing to local bars. The guest lounge has the most fabulous bookshelf where you can take one and leave one. Lastly… the breakfast. One word. Delicious. Thoroughly recommend. In fact you’d be a fool not to stay!

We stayed at the Channel View Guest house the night before and night of our wedding. It was fantastic. Melaney was amazing and couldn't have been anymore accomodating. Our room was beautiful with an absolutely stunning view which made our wedding photos. The room was beautifully decorated and Melanely had organised added extras suchs as balloons, fizz and chocolates. She was so accomodating to the bridal party making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Breakfast was great and she has helped to make some of my most special memories. We hope to make a tradtion of coming back and staying for our anniversary each year. Thank you so much Melaney. We can not recommend The Channel View Guest House highly enough.

Such a friendly place. We had one of the room that looks straight out at the sea and the view was gorgeous, with the sun smiling at us as we woke up. Having stayed in the same road previously but further towards the town we found this place to be so much more quiet overnight, as there was less traffic noise. The room was lovely and clean and my hubby was delighted with the cafetiere and coffee provided along with the kettle and tea. It was lovely to have a fridge in the room too. Melaney was a lovely hostess, helping me celebrate with cake and then a breakfast candle!! Breakfast was excellent and carried us through the day. Overall excellent value.

this guest house was really comfortable the rooms were spacious and beds lovely and soft the cooked breakfast in the mornings were freshly made and served up hot. we were on the top floor which had a sea view the climb to get there was worth the effort to get that view and there was a chair in the landing halfway to have a rest. melanie the landlady was really welcoming and helpful with any information needed we would definately recomend this guest house
