My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a great place to stay! The room was really nice and the breakfasts each morning were delicious. The hotel is close to the town harbour as well, making it a good location. Dianne and Martin were very welcoming - we had a lovely stay.

This was a very friendly pub, close to our accommodation, it seemed like we had known them for years, helpful advice and fun banter were always aplenty we loved each visit. The pool meetings are of particular amusement, if you are looking for a fun friendly pub then this is the one, set in a peaceful location.

I was greeted warmly on arrival and given all relevant information the room had just been refurbished and was clean and functional. I had a wonderful nights sleep and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for such a lovely stay! Would recommend.

We are local and used to go to the Old Castle every Friday for food and a wind down after a busy week at work, unfortunately, this has not been the case until this week. Food started being served last week, so we popped down and was not disappointed with what was on offer and at a great price too. We do hope this continues and other locals alike support the landlord and landlady who are working hard to make big improvements to the business and its surroundings. Well done Martin and Dianne, wishing you every success

Unfortunately we walked a long way with the intention of having lunch, but there was no food on offer and was told the kitchen was closed. Their website, however was advertising a full menu but there was no indication that food wasn't available either on their website or on the outside windows. Lovely garden but a shame nothing on offer.

In many respects this place should be marked good rather than average, as the owners have made a great effort (and appear to be continuing to do so). The service was very friendly and the rooms comfortable, if not luxurious. The food in the evening was surprisingly good as well. Overall, a great effort by the owners and certainly worth a stay if you need to be somewhere between Portland and Weymouth

Brilliant quiet location very close to 2 beautiful beaches and the Rodwell trail. The room was large and spotless and had everything you needed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and was awesome. Martin and Diane were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be visiting again.

Myself and my wife can not sing the praises of this hotel enough. The owners Di and Marty could not do enough for us, the rooms were immaculate and the breakfasts were out of this world, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice short break in Weymouth in an environment where you are made to feel very welcome and part of the community.

Visited this venue Tuesday 16th august. It didn’t disappoint. The food was spot on. Our party had for starters; Whitebait Chicken strips Fiery wings All were delicious, portion sizes were great Onto mains Risotto Lasagna Liver and onions. Would highly recommended and will be visiting again.
