舊學校民宿(The Old School B&B)

This is a place of comfort and attention to small details. It starts on arrival with a warm welcome from Peter, tea (in a pot with shortbread) is served in relaxing lounge space. Bedroom is furnished with school desks, interesting prints & critically great mattress and plump pillows (acoustic glazing ensures quiet night). Breakfast sensational home produce, beautiful to look at & delicious. Peter & David lovely garden gorgeous- we’ll be back!

We spent a thoroughly enjoyable 4 night stay at the Old School B&B. The wonderful early Victorian converted property is beautifully furnished throughout and the quintessential English garden is a delight. Both our bedroom and bathroom were a good size. Breakfast in the conservatory looking out to the garden was a real treat. The produce served was of high quality and perfectly cooked. The house is efficiently run by lovely hosts Peter and David who have a great eye for detail. The house exudes charm and character together with an air of relaxation. If you’re looking for the perfect base from which to explore West Sussex, look no further. The ‘Old School’ offers perfection at a reasonable price.

The B&B was beautiful in every way. I travelled solo and it was perfect, home from home. The bedroom was luxurious with a pretty garden view and lovely bed linen and decor. Peter and his partner were so welcoming and the breakfast was delicious, I’m vegetarian and they did a yummy full English veggie breakfast. I will definitely visit again.

Our stay was absolutely beautiful, the hosts, Peter and David, could not be more attentive. Our period style room was just stunning, with the most amazing attention to detail and separate, very large bathroom which was full of character. Our breakfasts, which we had in the conservatory area, were simply gorgeous, even down to the beautifully sourced artisan bread and homemade rhubarb and ginger jam. The location setting is perfect, offering wonderful seclusion, yet only 1.3 miles from the university halls our son was residing in near the town centre. He is doing a 4 year degree and we will not think of staying anywhere else when we visit during that time. Thank you Peter and David for the most relaxing weekend.

Lovely relaxing stay once again. Peter and David are so easy to chat with but they give you privacy. Spotlessly clean and give consideration to environmental sustainability. Lovely sitting in the conservatory for breakfast Thank you from Wales.

Absolutely flawless. Paul and David are exemplary hosts, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Our room was comfortable, beautifully furnished and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options. David poaches excellent eggs, a rare skill. Highly recommended.

The Old School is a dream from beginning to end! Absolutely gorgeous both inside and outside. A lush garden for dry weather, a cosy and warm lounge for cold, rainy days (ah, that fireplace...), a charming conservatory for breakfast, and a spacious and charming bedroom for a quiet night. Every tiny detail was cared for, and Peter and David were super welcoming ams attentive. Only con is that we couldn't stay longer! Can't wait to go back.

The Old School is a brilliant B and B. Beautifully appointed en suite rooms which enhance the period features whilst providing all mod cons and comfy beds with high quality linens, towels and fittings - relaxation and sleep quality assured! A warm welcome with tea and shortbread, and a delicious and generously sized breakfast perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. Peter and David have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and welcome. The property is a 5 minute drive to Chichester, straight into a car park that always has spaces, or an easily do-able walk for the energetic. This is the second time we have stayed here and it is our ‘go to’ place when visiting Chichester.

I cannot praise this B&B, and the delightful hosts Peter and David, highly enough. Very warm welcome into the quirky, utterly charming old school, with incredible attention to detail — from the glorious teapots to the antique loo roll holders! Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and friendly, and we felt instantly at home. The rooms were beautifully appointed, superb quality bed linen and lovely bathrooms. And the breakfasts were remarkable — beautifully cooked, great choice, great quality products. Thank you so much, we will be back.
