We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Dragonfly Inn. The room was comfortable, bed was great and the shower was lovely. We also enjoyed the breakfast tray and had fun trying our the egg poacher (with limited success!). It made for an interesting discussion around the breakfast table with some of the other guests. A great place to stay

This is a wonderfully sympathetic restored building full of character. The relaxing grounds include many rose bushes all in bloom with fragrant blooms. The common rooms are inviting to just sit and enjoy. Our room was Rosie, one of the smaller, more modern rooms but it included a small well stocked kitchen that we used as we like to self cater. The supplied breakfast basket was a great bonus and restocked daily. The room and the house was impeccably clean and tidy and the towels were nice and fluffy. The elevated position gave us a lovely view of Launceston, from the first floor balcony.

Dragonfly Inn is a nice concept. Restored old building, practically arranged, comfortable room, pleasant shared space. We liked the location - within walking distance of the Gorge (recommend for swimming) and the centre of the city. And it was relatively cheap. Let down a little only by the standard of the tray-in-fridge breakfast but there’s a good small supermarket to compensate just around the corner.

The accomodation here is carefully considered and presented, and the old world charm sits beautifully with the modern inclusions. Beds, towels and rooms have a luxurious feel and the generosity of the hosts make for a very welcoming a**osphere. Breakfast trays: simple, plentiful and nicely presented are labelled and set in the downstairs common room where a meet and greet (optional) allows a great opportunity to catch up with fellow residents and exchange experiences about the best things to do and places to go. Set a little out of town in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood where other gorgeous old style homes are located was perfect for us. Communication with our hosts was a pleasant and easy experience and nothing seemed too much trouble. Very highly recommended.

I stayed for four nights in two rooms: Delilah and Rose. Delilah is an older room upstairs, very comfortable, love the wall colour. Rose is a small piece of luxury (the bathtub!!) and it has a kitchenette. The lounge/dining room and hallway are furnished with antiques, helping to create a charming a**osphere. Photos are on the Dragonfly website. The concept is a lot like Air BnB in that you let yourself in and find your own room. The system is simple and works well. There's carparking onsite, also easy. You can meet other guests over breakfast, at 6pm in the loungeroom area, or simply as you come and go in the hallway or out the front. Otherwise, I was completely unaware of anyone else - perhaps Dragonfly attracts quiet respectful people! Also I felt very safe, important on a solo trip. The service level is excellent, actually better than at many places where there are staff on-site. You simply send a text message if you have a question/need anything and the response is quick and professional. I also met a couple of the team on-site, both friendly and helpful. They encourage people to book direct with them and it's worthwhile. Thank you. Loved it. Would definitely stay again. [P.S. Small tip: If you need a wardrobe, Rosie is probably not the right room for you as there are only hooks on the wall. Delilah has plenty of cupboard space.].

A lovely old guesthouse but needs attention to detail and maintenance of garden. We stayed with a group of 10 and we were overcharged for our room, which was smallest of all. A tree fell on our rental van and the owner initially said his insurance would cover it but then decided not to lodge claim. Owner admitted that he was aware of tree being at risk but had done nothing about it. We had to pay the $2000 excess ourselves. Thank goodness no one was injured! We had planned to stay there again on a return trip to Launceston but will look elsewhere now.

I can't rate the Dragonfly highly enough. We stayed in the Coco Room which was absolutely fabulous. There was everything you could possibly need and more. Lovely lounge and dining room to relax in, complimentary glass of port, various coffee and teas in your room plus cheese and crackers. A fabulous breakfast arranged in the fridge for you. Ok, you make it yourself but the facilities are so good, you don't even have to wash up. Lots of cutlery and crockery for you if you want to bring a carry out meal back to the property.. Beer and ginger ale in your room. Thanks to the team for all their work. Highly recommended.

Accommodation and experience exactly as described - was an excellent stay. Room was very large, clean and quiet (didn’t hear anything from neighbouring rooms). Communication with the Dragon Fly team was easy and everything was ready for our arrival and daily breakfast
