This 6 bedroom, 3000 square foot home is a completely remodeled ranch style house with new paint, flooring, bedding and amenities. Central Air conditioning. Fiber optic WiFi We are located 1.5 miles from the edge of Custer State Park. My husband and I have a house nearby. We own and operate The Little Red Inn (1.5 miles from this Brown House), Grandpa’s House (2.5 miles away) and French Creek Hideaway (6 miles away).Fully renovated in 2025! The backyard is enclosed so young children can run. The front looks onto a pond that can be accessed for pole fishing by standing along the county road. There is an upstairs sitting area with a large tv and a downstairs area as well so the kids can have a space. Both spaces have 70 inch TVs. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and downstairs there are 2 more. Bathrooms are on each level. You are 1 mile from the back entrance to Custer State Park. This takes you to Needles Hwy ( about 4 miles away). The house has a little room with books, toys and a canvas mushroom play space for youngsters and there is a shuffleboard for adults and tweens. The outdoor Firepit area is a favourite. It looks onto a beautiful meadow where horses commonly graze. We are next to the best hiking, biking, motorcycle riding in the nation. We are also close to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and centrally located to Keystone, Hill City and Hot Springs. We are about 5 miles from Custer, 2 miles on gravel. We believe in supporting the community and want to invest in the future of Custer. I’m a local physician and I work at the clinic. Hiking and biking is right out the front door. Views of the meadow include a moonrise and elk grazing, along with horses roaming and running. Morning coffee on the large deck is glorious with a calming view and we have a garage for gatherings that walks out into a large firepit and gathering area. We have created what we would want when we travel with our family. We take pride that we manage our own property and live in the area. We have fiber optics and streaming options for television and movies. Custer has incredible dining. Best burgers around at Burger and Bun and Bakers Bakery. Get reservations for upscale fine dining at Skogen Kitchen. Enjoy breakfast at Bakers Bakery and upscale Hjem am (reservations encouraged). Have dinner on the patio and relax with a beer at The Custer Wolf. Enjoy the locals at Our Place. Experience a brewery experience at Pounding Fathers and a sports bar atmosphere at The Buglin Bull. A really unique home for the Black Hills. The home has concrete floors throughout and summertime overnight lows in the 50’s F so I did not have air conditioning installed. We love to invite you to a gorgeous custom log home tucked deep with in the Southern Hills. This property offers a stunning view for miles and 3 deck levels for viewing pleasure. You will enjoy the local wildlife as they track through the property. This home carries with it a relaxed, comfortable setting with plenty amenities. The open hand-hewn log loft offers a pub table, mini fridge, pool table, half bathroom, 65" tv and additional sleeping for 5. There are 3 twin beds and a full futon in the loft. The main level has complete kitchen, dining room and living room. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, utensils, tin foil, sandwich bags etc and your basic spices. We also have a regular drip coffee pot with coffee and filters included. We have two highchairs available for this home. There is a beautiful island with 4 stools and a dining room table that seats 6 on the main level. The propane grill (propane provided) is on the main level deck. Located on this level is the master bedroom, spacious walk in closet, bathroom with tub/shower. An additional room on this level is capable of accommodating two. There is a bathroom with attached laundry room for easy access. The lower level offers two queen bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. A large sectional couch with a 50” flat screen for entertainment and an adjacent social area. We have two full roll away beds located just down the hall. You will also find a pak n play and high chair located on this level. There are two security cameras on the property visible to guests. One is located at the front door to the left and the other is on the lower deck towards the swim spa which in NOT available to guests.
