I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Farmington Hills - Detroit. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

When arriving, the front desk guy was short with us and rude. Didn’t let us know any information about breakfast hours, check out or anything. Room smelled bad. And they charged us the $50 when we only slept in there ! We didn’t do anything but sleep and use the toilet Terrible experience and will never be back!

We were supposed to stay 5 nights here and left after the first it was that horrible. Only a few lights on the sign were working and the parking lot was very dark at night. There was no staff when we got there to check in. We had to wait for someone to finally come out from the back. The hallways reeked of ****. The bathroom in the room had mold and the ceiling was peeling from a previous leak. Extremely disappointing hotel experience.

They put a $50 advance charge on our card when we arrived for any incidental purchases. We didn’t purchase any incidentals during our stay, but they didn’t refund the $50. Don’t understand this. Didn’t like or think this is right.

The hotel was very nice.,the room was clean & has a refrigerator & microwave which was great. There was continental breakfast that was fair, no complaints since it was free. I would recommend this hotel as a 3 star hotel & I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was fine. Everyone took a nap upon arrival. I woke up with a bright red rash on my chest. Looked at sheets and there was a big stain on the sheet. Immediately took a shower, then requested new bedding at the front desk (desk clerk tried to say it was just a stain). While I was gone, my husband pulled back the bedding and found something on the mattress pad that had leaked through the sheet. Went back to the front desk and requested a new room. The clerk was very nice and gave us a new room. However, he never apologized and was still trying to make excuses for the bed not being clean. All this caused us to be late for the performance of “Riverdance,” which is why we were down there. So, I’m not very happy about the hotel and would not recommend it to anyone else.

My friend I was with took a shower and when he was done the water wouldn’t turn off so maintenance came and drained the water and got it to turn off but then he said he was gonna come back in the morning to fix the rest so I went to shower and the water didn’t even turn on at that point and there was also trash under the couch in the room.

The front desk check process was fast and easy; however, the room assigned hadn’t been properly cleaned. The hallways had little piles of dirt. Once inside the newly assigned room, everything was ok.

Our room was not cleaned before we got there. There was an empty pop bottle left in the bathroom on the counter as well as a used paper towel on the floor. Our shower had many hairs in them as well as the sheets. Not sure how that would be if they were changed. Won’t go back. Very unhappy
