西巴登溫泉飯店

We have been coming to West Baden Springs now for 15 years for Thanksgiving and every year, they have fulfilled or exceeded our expectations for the holiday. The atrium is lavishly decorated for the holidays and we are anticipating a wonderful dinner this evening (I can see the spread from my balcony room!). The grounds have been enhanced since we were here last year - the pathways have been uncovered as they’d existed in the early 1900’s and the baseball diamond is revealed as well. A pleasant garden before, it is now a larger area for walks, jogs, doggie exercise. There is construction noise, true. But it’s pretty great that they are repairing this incomparable hotel so quickly and the noise gradually becomes unnoticeable after awhile. The furniture is comfortable anywhere one chooses to sit and the hotel itself is spotless, sparkling, and welcoming in every way. The reception, the waitstaff, the security man that just walked past me to wish me a Happy Holiday and a pleasant stay - all exceptional. We look forward to this stay every year and it just gets better! Yeah, we will be back!

In my opinion this place is overrated.It may have been “eighth wonder of the world” back in those days. Not now. We wanted to avoid West Baden due to ongoing repair of the dome ( as was mentioned on the website) but there were no rooms at the other hotel.we were informed by the reservation person that we will barely hear any noise since the construction is outside and the only noise inside will be from setting up Christmas tree. But , that was not true. Every day starting at 9 am until 5 pm we could hear the construction sound resembling fire works. Thankfully no construction on the weekends. We would have never made a reservation at West Baden , if we were not misinformed by the reservation person. The rooms definitely need renovation , Couch and chairs with stains need to be cleaned. Carpets also with stains and worn out.( picture attached) One of the staff members shouted out at our child for running in the lobby , not the atrium, ( I came to learn that running was not allowed in atrium and lobby, which is understandable ). This was for sure inequitable and unjustified reaction by the staff member because we saw several other kids running around even in the atrium throughout our stay but no one was shouted at or even asked to stop running.Very disappointing!! Indoor activities are also hyped up, nothing extraordinary. One can enjoy out door activities listed in their website like horse back riding and sporting range.Trails are nice. We reserved a suite.Spacious suites.Bathrooms are nice and clean.each room with separate bathroom and separate tub and shower in each bathroom. balcony with each room had atrium view ( nice view minus the construction). Indoor pool is nice and decent size and has a hot tub also. Scenic train ( excluding polar express ) and bike rentals were closed so cannot comment on them. Free valet is available.Efficient house keeping.

Attended the ****** Mystery weekend. The Hotel itself, staff, rooms , bar, tour were great. The ****** Mystery was very expensive. The actors. when there. were fine, but very limited time acting. There was only 10-20 minutes addressing the mystery at each meal and a 15 minute scavenger hunt in the hotel. Food was okay, but often deep fried. There was a lot of downtime, for an 800.00 ( each of 2 shared room) weekend. Will not do it again.

We enjoyed celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary at the hotel. We had previously stayed there for our 50th anniversary and we wanted to return. The hotel was just as enjoyable as before. We had a beautiful suite and delicious food. The grounds were lovely and the golf course was spectacular!

We went to West Baden Springs Hotel to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. When we got to our room, the manager and concierge appeared at our door and surprised us by upgrading us to the presidential suite for our anniversary! Needless to say we were flabbergasted! It was the most special thing that could have ever happened to us, and we are so appreciative for everything they did for us. They went way above our expectations. The original room that we had was fabulous and being upgraded to the presidential suite(needless to say) made it all that more special! I think this will be a yearly event, we certainly don’t expect the presidential suite again, but their customer service and attention to detail is beyond measure! We are fans for life!

The beauty of the big atrium you walk through to check in is where your relaxation should begin. Take it all in and enjoy. Our room had a view of the atrium and the music that we heard was perfect. Either piano, harp or saxophone it made you feel like you were in heaven! Every person we came in contact with were so kind.
