Hotel itself if fine and met all my expectations. Rooms were nice, breakfast was better than expected, location is fine. Our washroom smelled like it was cleaned with a dirty cloth, I could smell that dirty scent of an unclean cloth.
The worst part of the stay was the staff response to an issue we had. My husband had microwaved a noodle bowl (bought in the lobby of the hotel) and it lit on fire in the microwave. So much smoke came from it, it made it difficult to sleep and even breath in our room for a while. It was midnight and we had clearly woken several people on our floor, as they all started opening their doors (obviously checking if there was a fire), that's how bad it was. And we had to sleep in that room, which we couldn't even open a window in to air out. When my husband brought the microwave to the lobby (to reduce the smoke in our room) and told the lady at the front desk what happened she seemed unbothered and didn't offer any help. Even worse is she said "this has happened before!" And they're still selling those bowls in the lobby, and could care less we were left sleeping in a smoke filled room (with a child i might add). It was a very disappointing experience. Clearly there is a lack of client service training within the facility.
