I had a last-minute trip that popped up in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area when I discovered scarce room availability or abnormally high prices at the properties I typically frequent. There was a multiple-day festival in the area driving room rates and availability, so I decided to move outside my normal array of hotels. I chose Boarder Inn & Suites due to its location and reasonable room rate. I found the owners/managers to be personable and helpful and the room sufficient and comfortable for a one-night stay. One unusual thing was a desk or table in the room but no chair for sitting at the desk, such as when using a laptop. Since it was a short trip and not much time to be spent in the room, I didn't mention it after checking in, as I was soon on my way out for the evening. I did mention this when checking out and the check-out person (who'd also checked me in) assured me that it was an error, as they were changing out some furniture in that part of the property. He assured me that if I'd mentioned it earlier, they'd have corrected it immediately. From the rest of my dealings with hotel staff, I believe that they would have remedied the situation as stated. I would return to the property for another future stay.

The room was nice, but would be nice to have a chair in the room. Also breakfast wasn't the greatest...not much available

Price was excellent...location had all sorts of restaurants and shopping on the same street...bed was very comfortable...and the fellow at the check in desk was friendly. A bit outdated and breakfast was very basic... but I would certainly stay here again.

Was a pretty nice and quiet place. Only complaint i had was there was someone camping out under the stairs by the backdoor. I reported to the staff that was currently working and they looked into it. Person was gone by morning. So overall good service.

GREAT hotel to stay, whether it’s for one night or long term. Customer service was excellent and by far one of the best I’ve stay at.

There was a dried droplet of urine on the toilet and the bathroom had a urine smell. The breakfast was also very underwhelming. The staff was very friendly but I had to ask for toilet paper and was only given one roll I was too embarrassed to ask for another so we just ran out and used tissue. There was barely any available outlets to charge our phones and watches. I would stay here again just because of the location. We were very close to everything we wanted to do. We also had to get replacement keys after the second day but that was only a little inconvenient.
