Took my wife for our Anniversary and what a fantastic experience it was. The setting is exceptional with fantastic views of the bush from the deck and the pool. Doreen and all of the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful, the food excellent and the game drives great. We got to see the Rhino, Buffalo and many antelopes up close - amazing! The accommodation was stunning and we got really spoilt for our anniversary celebration by the staff. It was only a 2-hour drive from Pretoria so perfect for that weekend getaway. We will definitely be back to this stunning spot and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Unfortunately our stay was ruined by not having electricity in the lodge. The first night we were told the electrician was busy fixing the issue. We went to bed with lights tripping every now and again. Still had the electricity issue on second day and had to shower with cold water. The only thing that made it almost good was the wonderful service from the staff, Ray the chef and Piet and the ladies who were very friendly otherwise the electricty issue really spoiled the mood.

I recently visited Phumelo and had the most fantastic time. The host and other staff are very accommodating and attentive. The rooms are lovely and the view is out of this world. It all comes together beautifully :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made great memories. From the moment we arrived Theuns, Alida and staff made us feel special and they were extremely attentive. The lodge has a very serene ambience and rest and relaxation is at the order of the day. The game drives were magnificent and Theuns is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to nature and wildlife. The food was excellent and the chef made sure that all our personal requests were met. The service was flawless and we had an unforgettable time. In fact we have been raving about our experience to all our friends - encouraging them to come to your marvellous lodge. Special thanks to Theuns and Alida who made us feel like family, they are a great asset for the lodge. Phumelo Game Lodge make sure to retain your staff. They make the place worth the superlative experience.

really great time, magnificent location room spacious clean and the outdoor shower was great jacuzzi and pool also nice and clean, a great place to relax and unwind the staff food and everything was perfect close to Jhb so will no doubt be making another trip

What a lovely weekend in the bush, very neat and comfortable. Staff are friendly , the whole is experience was terrific, I would highly recommend and i will be going back. The bush drives are fantastic and i would recommend a couples massage. all in all we had an awesome weekend
