墨爾本諾克斯中央公寓飯店(Melbourne Knox Central Apartment Hotel)

Did not honour my booking. Voucher from Trip.com advised to arrive after 2pm. Reception closed at 1pm on the Sunday. Due to me not calling prior, they didn't hold my booking. This request was not on the voucher for the booking. Did not answer my call and have since told me I should have called the emergency mobile number. Woeful service. Happy to take you money though. Don't use Trip.com either

the room is very dirty

Requested a $300 bond upon arrival though it is not stated online whatsoever. Further to this, only the week before I stayed at the property and was required to pay a $50 bond (which also wasn't stated in any policy online anywhere), regardless I chose to stay again because I thought I knew the procedure and I have to be nearby tomorrow morning. To make things even worse, the hotel proceeded to cancel my booking and I have to wait 7-10 days for the refund and have no where to stay tonight.

The lounge, dining and kitchen areas were dirty and had not been properly cleaned from the previous guests. The kitchen rubbish bin was dirty and damaged. The vinyl lounge had a sticky residue down one side and the remotes were all greasy and had to be cleaned first before could use. The glass coffee and dining table also were covered in greasy marks and the door to the balcony had hand prints all over the bottom. The foyer to the room smelt bad on most days as did the room on a couple of occasions. Could not leave windows or balcony doors open as no fly screens and no insect spray in the room. Laundry trough had also not been cleaned. The bathroom and bedroom areas were satisfactory, however the bin and toilet brush holder were all rusted and probably needed replacing. Apart from the above, the bed was comfortable and the room quiet. A parking space was made available, there is a major shopping complex across the road and a friendly person greeted us on arrival. Helpful residents helped us find our building (there are 3 towers) and the appropriate lift to use. Plenty of take away food close by if you did not want to cook. Will not stay here again as it was disappointing after a 10 hour drive and would not recommend to friends either.

Unfortunately I read the reviews regarding poor customer service but persisted with the booking anyway. We have just arrived, 2 hours before checkin as we communicated with the property ahead of time. We are just trying to bag drop, not expecting to checkin. Doors are locked so I call number on the door. Answered by a child who advises checkin at 2. Said I wanted to bag drop. Told by an adult in the background that I can’t and Manager will be here at 12.30. Said I had organised bag drop so can I have Managers number. Told by adult in the background that can’t give out his private number. This is ridiculous. I am literally standing outside in the cold and rain with my two children and nobody wants to talk to us. Take heed of the reviews.

​These apartments are in the outer suburb of Wantirna. Reception was always locked with no one to be seen. On arrival we couldn't figure out what was going on, rang the number on the door, no answer. Tried to use the nearby check in machine but it didn't work. Rang another number I found, no answer. Eventually got entry to the deserted reception where an overworked, stressed employee finally appeared and gave us the key. It felt very unwelcoming. Car park is an odd design with security swipe on passenger side and hard to reach. The shower flooded the entire bathroom. All the water goes straight under the shower door, into the bathroom. There is supposed to be daily housekeeping. We had none at all in four days. The room was spacious, lots of light with big windows, full kitchen (minimal equipment, one saucepan) and washer and dryer. Room generally OK but grubby walls, fans etc.

Disgusting accomodation! Filth in bathroom! Exhaust fan seemed to be growing mould or something worse! We would not shower there. The whole floor landing on our level absolutely stunk of stale and/or fresh cigarette smoke! My children should not have to have been exposed to this. Was sold a room for three people yet was only provided one queen size bed for three people! Once there asked for an extra bed and was charged $30 a night for a crappy roll out bed, which was set up in the lounge area with both windows letting in plenty of light from poor and dirty blinds! Noise from neighbours was terrible! It seems only part of these buildings are for hotel accomodation and the rest are tenants who don't seem to care for others! Car parking was underground and was almost impossible to find due to there being limited parking to begin with and mostly residents "reserved" parking! Swimming pool looked dirty and others left wet trails from the pool to elevators and stairs making walking potentially hazardous! We stayed one night although our booking was for longer. I complained about the above issues and requested a refund for the remaining time, but was refused! Seriously one of the worst hotel experiences of my life!
