The view from our room was just gorgeous and I would love to come back for the view again and again. The room was nice, clean, and had a balcony which offered a full view of the valley and Punakha Dzong. The people were very helpful and it was really nice to see such a strong labour force of women workers. We did have to climb 100 steps to reach the dining room but if mobility is an issue, you can get to reach your room by car as well, or ask for a lower level for accommodations. Overall, an extremely memorable stay. Food was nice and team was willing to help you out should you have any food preferences.

This resort has rooms in blocks. There are 5-6 blocks. For the best view,I would recommend block 1,which gives clear views of the Punakha Dzong,the most iconic structure in all. It is also beautifully lit up at night and looks like a ship. The USP of this hotel is the location and stunning views. Rooms are clean and comfortable,with AC and of average size. The bathroom area is modest and functional. Hot water is always available. There is a small shower cubicle and some basic toileteries are provided. As it is a mountainous area,bugs can quickly get in if the French windows are kept open for too long. I ordered room service from the buffet menu for my entire stay there,as the restaurant was noisy and full of groups,and,I wanted to enjoy my meals peacefully. The food was always promptly delivered and hygenically presented. Liquor is cheap in Bhutan and the hotel prices were quite reasonable. I opted for a bottle of Local Raven vodka,which cost around 1600/-Rs. There are a lot of stairs to be climbed in order to get to the room,which may be an issue for elderly people. The weather was slightly warm,but the aircon was working well and it was quite comfortable. Overall,it was a pleasant stay with stunning views being the highlight!

Ce complexe hôtelier est immense et impersonnel. Après avoir vu de nombreux hôtels au Bouthan, celui-ci est construit pour le tourisme de masse : c’est un peu l’usine. C’est dommage dans un pays si calme et menant usuellement à la détente. Dans les bâtiments prévus pour dormir, les chambres sont simples et propres mais il y a zéro décoration. Il y a rien qui donne envie de rester dans la chambre est simple. C’est triste surtout qu’il n’y a pas de baignoire pour se détendre et oublier les voisins bruyants. Le restaurant, qui est en réalité un hall qui sert un beau buffet mais ressemble à une cafétéria quand les 70 clients se retrouvent tous en même temps pour y manger n’a pas de charme et ressemble à une cafétéria. Le point positif c’est qu’il y a plusieurs fruits en dessert et de bon jus de fruits pour le petit-déjeuner.
