Glencoe Villa Guesthouse

Lovely Guesthouse. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. Our room also had a mini fridge which is always handy The breakfast was very nice. I would highly recommend Glencoe Villa to anyone and if we are back in the area we will definitely stay again.

I was on a business trip and felt I would be lonely in a hotel so booked to stay at Glencoa Guest Villa. It was lovely. The host was amazing and so accommodating. She made a beautiful breakfast every morning and even made her own jam from fruit in the garden. I came home from work to a home made heart white chocolate cookie on valentines which was just what I needed after a long day! Rooms are lovely and clean. Bed is super comfy too. Would definitely come to stay again. Home from home feel!!!

Despite many, many overnight stays, I do not write reviews, until now...... I went to Pontefract races, not expecting to stay over but how glad I am, that I did! Sat in my car after the races, I thought about trying to find something nearby to save me a drive home. I found Glencoe Villa online and made a phone call. A nine minute drive of 3.1 miles and I was met by the owner, Ewa (pronounced Ever). She is proud of her home but NOT houseproud and my ensuite bedroom was utterly delightful as was the breakfast room. Ewa seems very caring, attentive and determined to make one's stay enjoyable. I can honestly say that the full English breakfast I was presented with, was as nice as I have ever had! Even the gardens deserve more than a moment to stand and admire. Thank you very much Ewa, for an all-too-short stay and I hope other race-goers read this and are lucky enough to have a similar experience.
