天堂灣度假村(Paradise Bay Resort)

Bonjour , Les installations et le service correspondaient à nos attentes . Nous aurions apprécié d'avoir une chambre avec vue sur la mer ,la montagne , la piscine ou les jardins quitte à payer un peu plus, venant de France pour admirer la beauté des paysages . Nous avons eu une chambre (53)qui donnait d'un coté sur la rue (avec une petite terrasse ) et de l'autre sur le parking ! Nous n'aurions pas relevé pour une nuit mais nous en avons passés 6... Nous sommes donc très déçus par l'apport de TRIP sur cette réservation , la prochaine fois nous nous adresserons directement à l'hôtel . Cdt

Das Resort liegt in einer schönen Bucht aber leider war’s das auch schon. Keine Restaurants in der Nähe oder nur Fast Food. Für 3 Tage ok aber mehr…? Die Zimmer waren nicht praktisch eingerichtet und auch nicht sauber. Auch sehr hellhörig. Ein Wohlgefühl kam leider nicht auf. Wir würden da kein Stopp mehr machen.

To go from the room to the office to get morning coffee, I had to walk up and down five flights of steps, all outside. This is a 60+ year old motel/B&B. It’s a funky hodge-podge built on the side of a very steep hill. It’s been “remodeled” but it’s not really “resort quality”. A couple examples: Our “suite” didn’t even have a TV in the bedroom (which was cooled by a loud thru-the-wall room air conditioner). The TV was in the tiny ante-chamber with two straight chairs and a mini kitchen with a rusty fridge. And the entrance had a poorly installed threshold that tripped both of us the first time we entered. There was nowhere to set anything down except on the bed or the floor. Still the bed was comfy and the shower was remodeled and serviceable. If this place embraced its retro heritage and was priced accordingly it could be funky cool instead of just funky. As it is, it falls far short of the expectations created by its photo package and description, so it was a big disappointment.

This is a tired property which has had a coat of paint. There is a problem with the sewage. This was reported to staff. Help was promised. Housekeeping was requested TWICE. No housekeeping. This was reported. Apologies given and promise to waive Resort fees and parking charges. Fees still charged to credit card. E mail to property about this. No reply. The Web page shows food facilities. There is a coffee pot and some bags of chips. Misleading. If you like climbing stairs, this is for you.

I definitely recommend this property! It's not perfect, and not the most luxurious resort, but it is in a very unique, tropical, quiet, residential area, that offers a totally unique setting unlike other, more touristy spots on Oahu. You feel like you are living "like the locals" here. There are no other hotels or resorts nearby. The room we had was very accommodating, with a mini-kitchen area, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living area, and patio overlooking the waterway in front of the property. Paradise Bay Resort is a great alternative to typical brand-name tourist traps.

Very happy choosing this hotel. We got a nice room with 2 king sized beds. It was better than I expected. I like the original look and unique ceiling finished with bamboo. The location was perfect. No traffic, no noise, all we heard were roosters and some birds. We went kayaking and the view was amazing. We wish that we booked this place earlier instead of staying too long in Waikiki beach. The hotel provides a list of good restaurants around the area and things to do.

The staff were fantastic. They were friendly, professional, and informative. The grounds are lush and cozy. We had a Mountain View suite. The suite had a large deck with great views. We discovered a water leak in our bathroom that needed repaired. We told the staff right away and the manager arranged to move us to another suite quickly. The second suite was lovely., though one of the burners on our cooktop quit working. We took the sea kayaks out one day and had a blast. Despite the little repair needs, we really enjoyed the stay and would come back again.

Very underwhelming. The place has potential but the rooms are small, stark, and uncomfortable rattan furniture. Closet was impossible to access because of bed and small room. Roosters woke us up every morning very early. And, they charge $38 a night to get towels and use the very small pool. They also charge $15 a night to park on the street by the resort. I would not go back. They cut corners too many places. it is a place to sleep, but it should not be called a resort. It was not comfortable to stay there and hangout. Skip this one.

The picture on the website made this hotel look fabulous. It was just lipstick on a pig. The "resort" is in a rundown residential area, not a good area to walk and not close to any dining since there isn't any food or beverages on site. Our room was the "Mountain View" room. The room was VERY disappointing and not comfortable at all. The furniture was a plastic outdoor loveseat (the TV was in the "bedroom"); the living room area had a Murphy bed, but there was no divider between the "bedroom" and the living room. The Kitchenette had a full-size stove, microwave and apartment fridge and a high-top table where the coffee maker had to sit because there was no counter space. That made meal prep very difficult and there was absolutely no storage space. The bathroom was very limited to on space to have any toiletries out (toothbrush and toothpaste); no hanger for a hand towel and washcloth. The bed was comfortable, however, the room sloped so the foot of the bed was higher than the head of the bed; the TV was in an unnecessary HUGE cabinet with dresser drawers. We moved the plastic loveseat into the "bedroom" to watch TV at night. The wall-unit air conditioner was directly next to the bed and was loud and had to be set colder to keep the rest of the unit comfortable. We tried to sit outside on the "lanai" to have coffee, but the next-door "tropical bird prison" was so loud it wasn't enjoyable, not to mention the feral rooster waking you at 0500 every morning! Not really a "Resort".
