The hotel itself wasn’t pleasant, housekeeping can’t keep up with the rooms. My rooms I requested at least every three to four days cleaning, but on my 1 week they didn’t even bother cleaning my room! I was told they don’t clean every day, I said I requested for 3-4 days at least but 1 week!!! I di t need everyday cleaning!! The first Marriot that I experience that I was told they don’t do every day cleaning, which I know every hotel is every other day. But to make excuses is not good. But the day they clean my room I met the lady who did the cleaning on my floor she was nice. Luckily their Bistro Cafè attendant was very helpful and friendly. Cathy was very attentive with her customers needs.
Very nice hotel, staff was so accommodating and friendly, the rooms were bigger than a regular hotel room. Best breakfast,at least every day there’s a different kind of food.
Negative side the location,it’s on a busy street ,I can hear street noise, traffic noise.
Positive side location is near restaurant and shopping center.
Kaitlyn and Irena at the front desk are always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. The TV in the room works well as does the air conditioning. The van driver is always courteous and the van is clean. Relaxing place to stay.
Disappointing isn't quite strong enough of a word. We were excited to try this property as we haven't found a Marriott in Virginia Beach that we liked. The location and rooms looked great on the app and it seemed there were several good dining choices. As a bonus the Tides restaurant advertised a 'pop-up bar' with a Beetlejuice theme that looked really fun. We were really looking forward to it! No one knew anything about a Beetlejuice pop-up bar. It ended up being two seasonal drinks on the menu that had pumpkin puree in them. We had one of those and smoked drink. That was the highlight of our stay. The drinks were tastey and our waitress was the single employee we met that was both friendly and took any interest whatever in serving us. The room was nice and very spacious. It was not what I would call immaculate but it was clean. The view was quite nice, even a partial view. We were not given an upgrade as the rooms were not ready - we did get there before three. There was a fridge, micro, and safe along with a coffeemaker. We had two regular coffees up there which got us going to our next adventure, after hearing our neighbors partying into the night. Sigh. The property does have its own 'private beach' but it's part of the greater beach along the Chesapeake Bay so it is not private. That having been said, it's a pretty beach. There are no lifeguards but it appears to be very shallow quite a ways out. If you love dogs running free, you will love this beach. There were a LOT of dogs out and there is no leash requirement. Big dogs, small dogs, crazy hyper pups, horse-dogs, you had it all. I know a lot of you folks love this, but I don't relish digging my toes into the sand where your dog just peed! Also, some of the owners had no control whatever over their animals. It was not a relaxing walk for us. We got going a bit late (for us) and headed down to 'the Pantry'. This is a lower end, 'M club'. We are supposed to get breakfast as Platinum elite members, but if there is a club, that counts as breakfast. There should be bread and/or bagels, fruit, yogurt, and various snacks. We were told to expect continental breakfast at 7:00. Upon arrival around 8:00, we saw exactly what we had seen the night before, and no breakfast foods out but dry cereal and some yogurt. And to top it off, coffee maker was out of order! My husband managed to find a worker with a cart full of bagels and such, but she promptly disappeared, after telling him the bagels were coming to us. After another wait and trying to empty the grinds and thus fix the coffeemaker ourselves, he approached said worker again and asked to have the coffeemaker set up. She passed the buck to last night's workers and told us it would 35-40 minutes to get the coffee working again. What?! At that point we gave up.
This is a brand new property. So everything was clean and fresh and new. I was very impressed by our stay. The room had standard amenities. The beds were cozy with clean crisp sheets. My daughter and I both loved the shower. It had a fridge and microwave and real plates and cups, silverware too. Had dishwasher as I’m sure some people do stay longer than one night. An interesting space with a curtain divider between sitting/work area and beds. Breakfast was what I expect from Hilton properties. Real plates here too. Angela was wonderful in the morning, she really made our morning. I was enjoying some peace and coffee while the teenager slept, we chatted a minute or two and then both went about our morning, when teenager was awake and hangry and came done for breakfast she remembered us. It’s these little things that make me love staying at Hilton properties. Check in and out was a breeze and while I did speak with a young lady and a young man on our way out I do not remember their names but they were both very friendly. While I don’t get to Virginia often as we only came for a concert if I ever come this way again I will definitely stay here.

Hello and welcome to my review. While we didn't use all of the amenities, this can still serve to help you make an informed decision. We checked in about 830 on a Friday night prior to the NAS Oceana Airshow. We were welcomed by Izzy at the front desk. She was extremely sweet and helpful. When she found out there were children in my travel party, she gave them each a nylon drawstring bag with a snack, coloring book, and crayons. We were on the 18th floor and best I can tell, there were four rooms, broken into suite A and B so they can be combined. We didn't hear any noise on the floor at all. The bathroom had plenty of towels and the tub was quite deep. The room had a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, and coffee maker. A definite plus was the fact there was actual silverware and plates. Most places with that size only provide plastic and paper utensils. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but the bed didn't seem to be long enough. I'm 5'11 and my feet hung just over the bed. Additionally, the room did seem a little small to me as well. The downside in our room was that the A/C sounded like a jet engine spooling up and once running, sounded like an inbound helicopter. I cannot say if that is common across all rooms. This hotel does not offer free breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat right there along Virginia Beach, While parking is part of your resort fee, the garage is one block away. As I said, we didn't use any amenities, so I have no idea how the pools and fitness center are. All in all, the hotel is clean, it's on the beach, and the staff is friendly. I hope that helps.
