「Minimalistic hotel rooms well located off Silent Beach in Tangalle. Nice communal pool and a small amount of rooms makes the villa quite tranquil and never busy. The staff are wonderful and the chef cooks delicious food which is all very reasonably priced. I just recommend you stay away from beef in this country as it’s quite inedible, this seems a common theme whether you’re buying a cheap burger or an expensive beef dish. The only detractions to the accomodation was a foul odour emanating from the shower in the mornings, but it did dissipate thereafter. Also I find there is little point of an in-room safe if it isn’t bolted to the ground. You can literally walk in and pick the safe up and exit the room making it redundant. Rooms are well appointed and well priced for the area given the two luxury alternatives are the Amanwella resort which is quite dated and much more expensive and the Anantara Peace Haven which is more expensive but also a fantastic product. The local beach here is beautiful. I would stay here again, but I expect rooms will be hard to come by as the country lacks 5 star resorts at this time. I would stay here again no doubt and recommend the property.」
