哈馬爾旅館(Guesthouse Hamar)

A aimé · La Guesthouse est très bien placée près du port, des commerces et des restaurants du centre ville. Il y a un centre d’informations pour touristes à quelques minutes à pied. Nous sommes arrivés vers 20h et avons fait un self check-in car la réception était fermée. Les chambres étaient très spacieuses (chambres triples avec chacune deux lits simples assez larges, et un canapé-lit que nous n’avons pas utilisé), propres et confortables. Il y a un réfrigérateur commun dans le couloir pour l’usage des clients (pratique pour y mettre le contenu de sa glacière et recongeler ses packs). Le petit déjeuner était correct et copieux. Nous avons apprécié le fait de pouvoir garder nos chambres tard dans la matinée afin de pouvoir nous reposer. Notre séjour était plutôt agréable et reposant. N'a pas aimé · L’Établissement paraît un peu vieillot mais on voit qu’il est bien entretenu. Accueil minimaliste, nous n’avons vu aucun personnel jusqu’au petit-déjeuner. La tuyauterie de salle de bain de la chambre voisine a temporairement fait un bruit sifflant assez fort au moment de son usage par nos voisins.

My family really enjoy our stay at Hotel Hamar. We had family room spacious and very clean. If you take a look you can see it isn' a new Hotel, but you will see how clean everything is. In Ves**anneyjar you don't have many option if you need Hotel, special in summertime. We was quite lucky when we got our booking confirmed. Staff is friendly and are doing good job, breakfast is simple and good in spacious dinner room. We was in short distance from almost every interest thing in town, and perfect to take tour with Viking Tours local company with perfect guide. All restaurant within 5min walk. Ferry Herjolfur 3min away. I can recommend this hotel because how clean it's. That's sign of good staff.

Set in the perfect location with a warm and friendly greeting when we arrived. The breakfast was lovely and tasty and the rooms were spacious, clean and cosy. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend the RIB speed boat trips and the trips to the puffins and volcano on the island. A lot of rich history and wildlife to be seen here, we loved our stay! I would recommend Tanginn restaurant for great food and service too.

Stayed two nights while on the island. Adequate rooms. No elevator. Nice that floor had a medium size fridge to keep food in. Grocery store is block away. No one mans front desk, but keys were there on arrival. A few blocks away from ferry. Standard breakfast. Rooms had tv which was not always the case in stays in Iceland. Limited parking but was able to find spots on the street.

Gästehaus liegt nur wenige Minuten fußläufig von der Anlegestelle entfernt und zentral zu Restaurants und Supermärkten. Zimmer und Bad sehr nett und sauber. Im Frühstücksraum wird ein einfaches aber gutes Frühstück serviert. Wir bekamen tolle und hilfreiche Tipps von der jungen Chefin. Heimaey ist traumhaft schön und war das Highlight unserer Island-Reise!

Family run abs everyone was really friendly and accommodating. It’s a three star kind of place with extra special service and views of the volcano abs the town. Breakfast was nice. Again, family was really kind abs thoughtful.

The ferry to the island was cancelled due to bad weather (8 Sept 2023). We called and emailed the hotel to explain we could not arrive per our reservation -- something they certainly would know. Hamar never answered or responded. In desperation, called ******* for help the same day. ******* called back the next day, informed that the hotel would not work with us or *******, and the hotel would still charge us as a no-show. (Since there were no doubt day visitors stranded on the island, would not surprise if Hamar ended up renting our room anyway). Beware.

Nice guesthouse, big rooms, easy to find, simple check-in. Would stay again when we return. Thank you!

Guesthouse Hamar is in a great location, only a few blocks from the ferry (leave your car on the mainland if you don’t really need to drive on Wes**ann Island). The room was a lot bigger than I thought. Shower was a little tight, but ok. Breakfast was included which was good as well. Walls are a bit thin, but there wasn’t anyone up late, so it didn’t bother us at night. Very happy with this 1 night stay.
