From the moment we arrived at Château de Boucéel, we were transported into a world of elegance, charm, and warm hospitality. This stunning family-owned château is truly a hidden gem, offering the perfect blend of history, comfort, and personal touches that make for an unforgettable experience. The grounds are breathtaking, with beautifully manicured gardens, serene ponds, and picturesque views in every direction. The château itself is impeccably maintained, with each room exuding character, refined taste, and a sense of timeless luxury. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail carefully considered. The bed was divine, and waking up to the view of the lush countryside was simply magical!

Having stayed at many chateaux throughout France and top hotels across Europe, I very much appreciate the Roquefeuil family opening their historic home to visitors. What a special opportunity! Very personalized welcome by Erika and Ian with superb suggestions to explore the area. (they gave me insider tips on how to beat the crowds and enjoy Mont St Michel practically alone.) The grounds with its majestic 150+ year old trees is stunning. The chateau and period furnishings are all well-maintained and very clean with the luxury of modern bathroom and a truly heated outdoor pool, even by American standards. (which is not always the case in Europe_ Super comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast includes all the standard French-European fare, but of higher quality featuring local and regional produce. But what really makes this place exceptional is the très charmant patriarch who brings the place to life with his wonderful histories dating back to the Romans thru the Middle Ages and the two World Wars. I could have listened to him all day! A most unique and exceptional opportunity to experience noble French life, and especially for those seeking unique access to MSM, in a true monument of France.
