Xanadu Mansion (Dupont House)

Hermoso lugar, excelente servicio, una comida maravillosa, El lugar se encuentra muy bien cuidado con una maravillosa decoración. Frente a una de las playas mas hermosos del mundo. Totalmente recomendado. Me senti muy satisfecha por escoger este lugar para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi madre.

bel établissement à coté de Mélia las américas, belle nouriture ( carte très variée, vins de bonnes factures, prix correctes pour la qualité proposée ), cadre splendide, personnel professionnel...petit détail important, paiement par CB.

Situé entre le golf de Varadero et la mer, vue directe de la terrasse sur l'océan. A vous coupez le souffle. C'est mon deuxième séjour et nous reviendrons. Accueil chaleureux et service professionnel, 8 chambres avec mobilier original Dupont, une vraie vie de château. Excellente nourriture et carte des vins. A votre droite la mer turquoise avec une température de 30 degrés. En bonus le seul golf 18 trous de la Havanne. Avec le package golf , tout est compris, green fee unlimited, voiturette et clubs. Les fairways pourraient être mieux tondu. Prix final très correct, dépend juste du nombre d'excellentes bouteilles que vous consommez.

L'hôtel est l'ancienne résidence de Mr Dupont de Nemours (on l'appelle d'ailleurs la maison Dupont) et on le vit au luxe du bâtiment. Chambre aussi grande qu'une salle de bal avec du marbre partout (6 chambres en tout). Restaurant et lodge évoquant le passé luxueux de la demeure et emplacement idéal en bord de mer. Personnel pléthorique et service professionnel à l'ancienne et très bon restaurant. L'endroit a vieilli mais c'est d'un charme fou et cela n'a rien à voir avec un cinq étoiles gigantesque et insipide.

The mansion is amazing with all the hand hewn Mahogany harvested from right on the Varadero peninsula years ago. Beautiful dining area on the ground level. Second floor boasts 6 well furnished rooms that take you back in time by way of decor and craftsmanship and are offered for vacation stays with access to the golf course. The third floor has ( in my opinion) the best bar in Cuba with the best bartender/mixologist. The photos we got of sunsets there on the patio just off of the bar, absolutely amazing ! Definitely worth the walk or taxi ride from anywhere on the Varadero ***** for a drink and a sunset. Entry is free and beer is ice cold and drinks are delicious. Occasionally they have live entertainment ( I witnessed some great jazz on sax and clarinet in the past) Come and enjoy Cuba at its finest !!!

“Xanadu Mansion” (Dupont Villa) is in direct neighbourhood of the hotel Meliá Las Américas where we stayed. So we walked across and paid a visit. The door to the house seems to be open all day long. The villa is a very exceptional historical building. There are guided tours through the house, including the cellar. And if you are a friend of good style and relaxing dinners… the restaurant is the right location to try out. The menu is serving local meals with international touch. But be warned, the portions are big! The Xanadu Villa is the perfect party location or the right set-up for a romantic dinner, business lunch/dinner or a family festivity. In the top floor is a bar with panoramic view of the beach. That alone is worth to come along and have a look.
