斐濟吉恩米歇爾庫斯托度假村

太棒了！我們一家（三個十幾歲的高中生，我和妻子）在JMC度假村度過了聖誕節和新年假期。那裡真是太棒了。我們很欣賞度假村為斐濟當地文化和社區的蓬勃發展做出的貢獻，而不是刻意壓制和排斥當地文化和社區。這家度假村讓當地斐濟人能夠將自己的文化融入度假村，當地人也樂於分享他們獨特的村莊和家庭的故事。我的妻子和Camamari成為了好朋友，她對我們全家都非常好，讓我們感覺像在家一樣。我們了解了她可愛的孩子和她的村莊。如果你喜歡釣魚、水肺潛水、浮潛、帆船、立槳衝浪、划艇、健行和探險，那麼這裡就是你的不二之選！新年期間，當地人特意為我們準備了酒吧派對、游泳池和碼頭煙火——午夜過後我們還在游泳池裡玩得不亦樂意——真是太開心了！我和兒子用Bait釣到了很棒的黃鰭鮪魚。 Bait不僅是我們認識的最好的船長/釣魚嚮導，他還是我們見過的最善良、最友好的人之一。我們愛Bait。我們在8號小屋住了幾晚——它很寬敞，有兩個浴室，就在海灘邊。空調運作良好。之後，我們搬到了23號小屋——它很不錯，但比較小，只有一個浴室。不過，它就在岬角上，景色迷人！好吧——這裡的食物非常棒——我們去過米其林三星餐廳！選擇/選項充滿活力——經過深思熟慮，超級美味。就連咖啡都很棒！酒吧有很多選擇，甚至還提供不含酒精的飲料（不知怎麼的）！請記住，服務人員總是面帶微笑，態度友好，並遵循斐濟時間。你會在午餐和晚餐時間待很久。我和我的孩子們都很喜歡霍比帆船和立槳衝浪板。 Leo是我們的潛水教練，即使在Namena保護區潛水也是如此——他專業、安全、可靠——讓我們度過了一段非常愉快的時光！ Gabby帶我們去了當地一個有溫暖泥漿的地熱池——泥浴——這是我的第一次，非常有趣！我們還在河裡玩了漂流，看到熱水從河底的地熱區噴湧而出。哇。徒步到當地的瀑布也很值得。試著游到瀑布，然後穿過瀑布爬到另一邊的洞穴。太酷了。再次強調——一點也不像公司——只是享受當地的泥漿池、河流和瀑布。了解當地的村莊很有趣，也很開闊眼界。斐濟人很棒，他們的愛和友善具有感染力！感謝JMC度假村的每一個人！給Bait、Camamri、Gabby和Leo巨大的Vinaka vaka levu！

Travelled mid-January and just returned from JMC. Everyone in our group had an amazing time. And the staff went out of their way to ensure we were made to feel like family. Ate way too much great food, with plenty of selections available for all covering a range of dietary requirements within our group - and a number of special requests for non-menu items were mostly fulfilled by the kitchen. We did not experience any delays with food or service - and were perhaps quite fortunate that the resort was relatively quiet during our stay having just ending their "bumper" Christmas rush period. High staff:guest ratio, which was made even higher through lower occupancy levels during our stay. Whilst on the downside this meant meeting and interacting with fewer other guests, the service and attention received from the JMC team was impeccable. No shortage of activities to participate in as other reviewers have mentioned. Immersion in Fijian culture certainly a highlight - village visits, kava ceremonies, singing and dancing, basket weaving, competitive volleyball and soccer, etc. Plenty of swimming, snorkelling, (we also dived extensively with JMC diving based in the resort), kayaking, waterfall visit - all great experiences. A minor maintenance issue we raised was addressed within the hour, and the bure itself was well cared for and housekeeping did an amazing job twice daily. We had no need of a nanny, however observed other families interacting with their assigned carer and can see why those with infants and young children also love this resort. No, this isn't the place to go for large white sandy beaches, or TV's in rooms - but that wasn't why we chose JMC. Other than the lack of air-conditioning in bures (which would be nice at times) and some persistent mosquitos (plenty of repellant provided) JMC met and exceeded our expectations and we were very sad to leave. Vinaka vakalevu to all!

Having been to this property throughout the years and being that we were true fans of the concept in all of its ethical glory as one of the original eco-resorts, we were thoroughly unimpressed with the obvious lack of direction, and felt strongly as though Jean-Michel Cousteau as put no effort into this venue for quite some time. This resort is in obvious demise and is trading on its previously better times. Is Jean-Michel Cousteau really a true environmentalist or just a green-washer trading on the coat tails of his father?

I don't usually write reviews but I had to this time. We had the best 8 days of vacation at JMC last week (the next best is not even close). It's hard to nail down the best part - there were so many. One that does stands out is the Bula Club, the heart and soul of the resort. Our toddler son's nanny (shout out to Maki) was amazing and made us feel comfortable leaving him for hours with her and the other kids. (He cried the day we left). The property is gorgeous, peaceful and the views breathtaking. The food was out of this world. We snorkeled and I went on several dives with Tua. It was my first time diving in the open ocean and he worked with me patiently and got me comfortable. Some of the spots nearby are totally worth just coming to Fiji for the diving. The warmth and the care with which everyone at the resort treated us makes me want to go back asap. (I'm already looking at dates next year). If I had to pick a complaint it would be the mosquitos. Bring good bug spray and be prepared.
