文森飯店(The Vincent)

Este o locație sigură și aproape de centru în Valletta. Un brekfest minunat !

Stanza umida al 99%. Condizionatore mal funzionante; pulizia approssimativa. Disposizione luci approssimative. Letto pessimo con rete traballante e materasso a molle vecchio. Rumore fisso proveniente dalla parete adiacente al letto. Ingresso servizi igienici difficoltoso. Mancanza frigobar.

Fint hotel men veldig lytt. Krøp maur på frokosttallerken.

Beautiful guesthouse / hotel, high feeling for design, hospitality and friendliness on a very good location in the historical Valletta city center. A variety for breakfast with local products. Highly comfortable with the escalator, who brought us to the 4th floor. A great variety of all good restaurants on a few steps from the Vincent.

It looks good in the photos, but the reality is very different and it was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in a long time. There are lots of problems, but the main one is that the staff refuse to listen to guests and feedback. Instead of trying to fix the problem, they argue with you and don't even believe there is a problem. In the *******o room (to avoid) there was a loud generator-type sound below the bedroom floor and a strong vibration coming through, and a dirty carpet. Lots of the rooms have a literal glass box for the bathroom, which amplifies all the sounds from the toilet, so there goes any romance. And although they seem to have added a white curtain on one side, it just turns things into a shadow-puppet show. In the rooms in the old part of the building the stench of humidity is terrible and permeates all your clothes. On the final night of our 3-night stay we finally got a different room, after refusing to believe the various excuses (internet was down apparently) and noticing a housekeeper schedule with free rooms. The Deco room replaced the smell of humidity with a strong smell of a sewerage coming from the bathroom. The breakfast was miserable, a horrendously tasting chocolate brioche (no other options), toast, 4 slices of cheese and meat, and 6 pieces of fruit - not whole fruit mind, but actual small cut pieces. The only redeeming thing was the lovely breakfast assistant on the last couple of days, and a decent shower.

If you're staying in Valletta, this is the perfect spot - being within walking distance of all the main sights, restaurants and cafes, as well as ferries to Sliema and the Three Cities, not to mention the Gozo Fast Ferry. The hotel staff were wonderful and the breakfast is more than enough to set you up for the day. Our spacious room was modern, yet boasted lots of character. Cannot wait to go back!
