"Hostellerie Provençal is ideally situated in the centre of Uzes, right next to the charming old town centre. Parking is easy in Uzes and there are two large, open air parking lots about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. They are Parking des Cordeliers (recommended by the hotel) and Parking de La Gare, which is just round the corner from the first one. The hotel is a lovely building and although we arrived early, the charming gentleman on reception, who I take to be the owner, was happy to let us check in. Our room on the 3rd floor (there is a lift) was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. The en-suite was also very smart and, most importantly, the room had very good air conditioning. Although it was nice to have breakfast served at the table as opposed to the ubiquitous buffet, I would class it as fine without being exceptional. In hotels prior to and after this one, similarly priced breakfasts included fresh fruit salads, a choice of cheeses instead of just one piece, and a selection of cold meats or terrines, that you don’t get here. I think that they can do a little better. This is a lovely hotel in an ideal location run by charming people. It would certainly be our hotel of choice when next visiting Uzes but we would probably forego the breakfast."
