約克費爾菲德莊園美居飯店(Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel)

The reason we booked this hotel because of the convenience of parking, despite seeing some honest, unsatisfied reviews. I am disappointed after staying for 3 nights, I would not go there again. Disappoin**ent: 1.the room really needs some work to do, such as sash window couldn't open after asking for help to shut it, the thermostat was off the wall and the tap needed turning for ever to get the water out. 2. No aircon or ventilation system in place. The window was important for fresh air which did not serve the purpose. 3. The reception was informed about these problems on arrival, she (the bleached hair local girl) was not bothered by. She asked us to turn the radiator off after she was informed the thermostat was off the wall. She was not bothered by the faulty facility and did not mention asking someone to have a look or fix. I had to give her a point that she said not to touch it. She is unlike the other staff who were clearly care and helpful. 4. Super small television 5. Dirty drink tray 6. Chipped mug Good points 1. Bar service was good, especially the evening staff. 2. Quiet at night time 3. Bed was nice, not hard and not soft. General impression: It was not good value for the money, £400 for 3 nights.

Everything was great! Good location and easy access to all local amenities and site seeing. Quiet hotel and set in nice grounds.

It is expected to arrive at the hotel by car. It is really convenient to do park and ride in York. The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the most important is that it is pet friendly too, with an extra £15 per night for the pet.

We went down for our 5th anniversary, we arrived and the outside building looked really nice. when we got to our room, the light in the toilet was leaking and it had flooded the bathroom, we changed rooms but the only room they had available was 2 single beds

Rural property very quiet and no noise transmission between suites. BUT due to weddings on Saturdays, they refuse to serve dinner in the dining room and make you line up at the bar to order food. The energy efficiency of this hotel is dismal, noise maker fans in the ensuite are just that noise makers that do not exhaust air. (my specialty). Separate hot and cold taps create huge energy-wasting hand-burning experience, even though the hotel has recently upgraded the third floor. Toilets waste a large volume of water and do not always flush products away. Forget about internet use as the system is spotty and frequently is nonexistent. Overfall a nice hotel that is spoilt by a sometimes miserable front desk person If they fixed the internet I would probably stay here again
