Schulteheim Hotel

Comfortable, safe accommodation with history is what you get, at highly affordable rates. We were accommodated in what must have been two dormitories each originally probably intended, in the time that this was still a school hostel, to sleep five or six pupils. Pleasantly furnished and respectfully restored by the Pretorius family, this former ruin is now a showpiece of what care and rejuvenation can achieve. Given half a chance, I would return. The service was personal, the accommodation just a notch above the expected. Please retain this level of attention to detail and comfort. Many more need to come to enjoy this. Also consider as conference venue: it will easily house several dozen delegates in comfort.

Such a warm welcome to a lovely old hotel. The amenities are basic but clean and everything thing one needs for an overnight stay. The manager Reghardt, was an absolute lifesaver when my vehicle started giving problems. On a Sunday morning during breakfast, he arranged for a mechanic to look at my car, accompanied me there, drove me back to the hotel and invited me to stay as long as it took for my rental car to arrive. One cannot ask for more.
