Bella's Rest Guesthouse

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting some of the Battlefield 'attractions '. From initial contact made ahead of our actual booking, to our departure, we were made to feel extremely welcome. The rooms are modern and clean and very well thought out. Even complimentary sherry in the room! Dinner is within walking distance at a pub on the premises. Prices are super reasonable. Breakfast is a simple but fresh offering, with eggs made to order. The security guard offered to wash our car for us as it was filthy. We paid him for a job well done! I highly rate Bella's, and if we were ever in the area again, this would be my go-to option.

Stayed here for a night on the way down to the Zulu war battlefields just down the road. Lovely clean room, helpful and friendly staff and excellent fresh cooked to order breakfast in the big house next door. Veranda from room over looked lake and wildlife, and there is a wild peacock who struts around like he owns the place! The Shed next door (opposite direction to the house for breakfast) offers great food at an astonishing low price for a UK visitor! Previous reviewer mentions being “monitored”. I can only guess this is the security guard who sits outside at night. The guy there during my stay was friendly and helpful and certainly didn’t cause me any concerns. This was a great place to stay and I’ll definitely use it again if I’m passing through once more.

I was the 1st guest to stay at this Guest Hoyse 1 year ago in February 2023. They had allowed me to stay there even though some of the outside groundwork was still being finished. Daleen hosted and was always helpful, every morning a smile to meet the guests I had a perfect time there. i visited again in late January 2024. Once again, everything was perfect. I had the pleasure of seeing wildlife , tame, from my balcony. The colourful bird life is nothing that you would see in England. I strongly recommend this property.

Spacious and luxurious rooms. Terraces overlooking a large pond with grazing animals and nesting birds. The rooms have decent a/c and heaters, desk, TV area with some channels, and complimentary sherry. Staff present and eager to help. Quiet. Walking distance to the local restaurant The SHED for meals. Clean and modern accommodations.
