We werden na een lange rit, hartelijk welkom gegeten. Een rondleiding in de kamers en de woning. De host was steeds zeer behulpzaam, steeds klaar met tips. Het ontbijt was ook zeer lekker, de eitjes zijn echt heerlijk klaargemaakt. De kamers zijn zeer ruim en verzorgd. Goede bedden waar we goed konden slapen

During check in, the manager/host Ernest made several extremely racist remarks against my partner. I will go into detail about these: 1. Ernest asked whether my partner was related to an Indian man with the same surname who owed him money. She was confused and concerned and after saying no, Ernest then asked what her Father’s name was to confirm they were not the same Family. 2. He then proceeded to tell a ‘joke’ that when a white man is making a coffee in Durban an Indian will steal the sugar. 3. He then told us ‘don’t take offence’ 4. I informed him that due to his remarks we are leaving and demand a full refund. He then told me to say if we say we are cancelling due to a ‘change of plans’ he will supply a refund - effectively ransoming the refund in an attempt to escape reprisal. We are so disgusted by the behaviour of this man. There is no excuse for this and we will make every effort to expose the discriminatory nature of this man and his business, and inform all platforms that advertise for this property of this. I have recordings of our conversation and messages from Ernest as proof of his actions that I will gladly provide upon request. I can’t express how disgusted and disappointed we are. Ernest has brought disgrace and shame upon himself and his business.

Our stay here was wonderful. The furnishings are classic, the service is great and we felt at home immediately. We will definitely return here in future.

As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a classy vibe and really nice people who make you feel special. Everything looks amazing, from the cool decorations to the friendly staff who pay attention to every detail. The rooms are super cozy, with really comfy beds and all the fancy extras you could want. But let's talk about the beds – they're unbelievably soft, like sleeping on a dream. The owner is great too, really friendly and always there if you need help. He is extremely funny and even shared some interesting stories about Durban's history. It's a top-notch place with a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. Will visit again soon!

Forest Manor Boutique Guest House is a home away from home. This was my second time visiting. Ernest the manager went out of his way to make us feel at home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The conference center is beautiful and functional. Room was exceptionally clean and neat. The lounge areas in the guesthouse is well decorated with a very relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

From the initial telephonic enquiry with Alfred the response and willingness to help with the booking was just very professional and extremely courtious. service by all staff members was outstanding. will highly recommend this facility to family and friends. Breakfast was exceptional.
