During my stay, I encountered several issues, particularly with the bathroom facilities. The shower door lacked clear instructions on whether it should be pushed or pulled, which led to confusion during use. Despite this, I used the facilities with reasonable care. However, upon checking out, I was informed that the shower door hinge had been damaged, and an excessive charge of about CAD 600 was deducted from my credit card without my prior consent. I would like to highlight the following points: Lack of Clear Instructions: The shower door did not have any markings or instructions indicating whether it should be pushed or pulled. If there was any misuse, it was due to the absence of proper guidance, which is the responsibility of the establishment. Unsubstantiated Damage Claim: The owner claimed that the hinge was damaged due to improper use. However, if improper use had occurred, the glass panel would have likely been the first to break, not the hinge. No evidence was provided to substantiate the claim that the damage was caused by my actions. Excessive Charge: The amount charged for the repair (over CAD 600) appears disproportionately high for a minor hinge repair. Unauthorized Transaction: The deduction was made from my credit card without my authorization, which is a violation of standard payment practices.
