This is a quiet lake front property on Lamoka Lake with a gradual slope to the water. We purchased this property and did a total remodel which included moving rooms, removing some walls, and raising ceilings all while maintaining the footprint on the property turning this into a very enjoyable place to stay. Welcome to this incredible, cozy, just finished log cabin It is a one bedroom (queen bed), cabin on Lamoka Lake, one of "New York's Best Kept Secrets", just steps from the water's edge. You can enjoy additional sleeping space on the sofa bed in the living room with a queen mattress. We include a full bathroom and a complete kitchen with dishes for eating, pots and pans for cooking and an expandable table. You will stay nice and cool, or warm with the heat pump/Air conditioner mounted on the wall.Outside you can enjoy a beautiful covered wrap around deck with an eating table and cozy sitting area, including a cooling fan overhead for those really warm days (we've been told it keeps bugs away, also). The Weber 3 burner gas grill is just out the back door. The kayak rack with 4 kayaks is near the waters edge, and the dock, along with the fire pit and available fire wood. When you arrive, you will find a parking area with space for 2 vehicles. Be sure to bring your fishing gear as Lamoka Lake is noted for fishing. You can fish right off the dock out in front of the cabin.Lamoka lake is located between two larger finger lakes, Seneca and Keuka. Our scenic area boasts many wineries, distilleries and breweries just waiting for you to visit. Many tourist locations are within 25 minutes driving distance; such as, Watkins Glen, Hammondsport and Corning. The area has many walking trails, museums, bike trails, Amish/Mennonite shopping areas, along with lots of Waterfalls. Since this is the beginning of our 2nd year with the cabin, we don't have many reviews, but I decided to photograph and include the notes our guests have written in our journal. 2-Story Lake Cottage in the heart of the Finger Lakes on Lamoka Lake in Bradford, NY is the perfect getaway for you, your friends and family if you love the water and can't miss the perfect sunset! The cottage offers an open living and dining space, a full kitchen, king bedroom on 1st floor with a full bathroom, interconnecting queen and double twin bedrooms on second floor and laundry. You won't be bored on a rainy day as cottage offers a 55" flat screen smart television, WiFi, Games, books and more. The outside amenities include a backyard fire pit and seating, dock space with a large sundeck with fire pit overlooking a gravel bottom walk-in swimming area (via steps) safe for the kids, dock with ladder for jumping into the water or fishing, kayaks for renter use only. This is a fisherman's paradise with access to the lake via a public launch for boaters and kayak enthusiasts, a cleaning station at the cottage and plenty of freezer space! Ice fishing is also popular in the winter when the lake is frozen. Dock bumper and tie-off is available for day use only at the cottage site, no overnight boat mooring is available. Owner will not accept responsibility for damage to any privately owned water craft while tied off at the cottage dock. Parking for a watercraft can be arranged prior to rental with the owner. The cottage is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes area between Keuka and Seneca Lakes within a short drive of Watkins Glen International Speedway, Watkins Glen State Park, Keuka College, Corning Glass, The Windmill, the Glenn Curtiss Museum, the Finger Lakes Boat Museum, the Finger Lakes Hiking trails, more wineries and breweries than you can visit in one week, and many towns listed as tourist must-sees including Hammondsport, Penn Yan, Corning, Watkins Glen, and Geneva. Docks are out for the season mid October- mid May. Cottage is 4 season with winter enthusiasts welcome. Snowmobilists are welcome with access to trail nearby. Ice fishing available dependent on presence and safety of ice thickness. Bristol Mtn. and Hunt Hollow ski resorts are within 1 hour drive. Right on the water with lots of space and fresh air this new and charming cottage is situated in the heart of the Finger Lakes on the east side of Waneta Lake. Ideal for 1 to 2 couples, a girls weekend getaway or families up to 4. There are 2 bedrooms, an open fully equipped kitchen, a sitting area and bathroom with walk-in shower. Dine and relax on the over-sized covered deck overlooking the lake. A stairway from the deck provides access to a private beach with 4 kayaks.The spaceIn addition to the many activities available in the Finger Lakes, the region is ideal for cycling and triathlon training. The lake is great for open water swimming. The roads are reasonably quiet with lots of rolling hills. If you have a bike, bring it! Bikes can be kept in the garage. The autumn is a great time to visit. The fall colors are spectacular in this area and the wine season is in full swing. The living room, with a futon for additional sleeping, has amazing views of the lake, like a postcard. Each room has a ceiling fan and the cottage has central air. For your convenience, you'll have access to wi-fi, outdoor gas grill, a large parking area, and a boat dock. We also have 3 kayaks and 1 canoe for our guest to use.
