This cabin is located in Cold Springs, CA at 5,700 feet elevation. The Cabin House in the Forest is ONLY 5 minutes to Pinecrest Lake! It is a festive lake where you can swim, relax on your favorite floatee, kayak, paddle board, bike along paths, or fish lakeside! You can take a hike around the lake where you will walk across a bridge and see a water fall! Dogs are welcome too! There's BBQ grills, picnic tables, sitting benches along lakeside, two food trucks and a walk up snack bar! You can rent out boats and kayaks or take a boat ride around the lake with your group! Another close by trip is a 14 min drive up the mountain to Dodge Ridge Summer Resort! Take a chair lift ride up and hike back down! Summer-time at Dodge boasts live music, a rock wall, fun games for the kiddos, a casual base restaurant serving delicious mountain types of food, chair lift rides up the mountain, mountain biking trails for all levels, disc golf, yoga and hiking. For a special day out you can lunch or dine at Kennedy Meadows where you can enjoy a day of horseback riding, or hiking. The drive up is beautiful and minutes away! Please reach out to the host at the end of the stay to inform us how much you owe for wood use. The Cabin House in the Forest is Spacious at 2,500 sq. ft. and sleeps 10! This cabin is great for family gatherings, friend reunions, a getaway baby shower, a bridal shower, or special family celebrations! There are two private entrances, with a private deck overlooking the forest with its own private bathroom in the lower level. This master bedroom has a video game console, a mini library and it has a king-sized bed plus a pull-out couch! This amazing cabin has four private rooms to sleep in. There's three bedrooms, plus an upstairs loft with two built-in twin beds! The loft is set up as a lounge area. There are TWO video consoles, a Nintendo and Play Station, one in the loft and another in the master ensuite. Bedding includes TWO king-sized beds, one queen bed, two twin beds, and an extra full-sized sofa bed in the downstairs master bedroom for a total of SIX BEDS! This cabin has two full bathrooms, including an ensuite in the master bedroom with its own private sitting area, a pull-out sleeper, a mini library, DVD Player, video game console, and a private deck with private keyed exterior access. This is the ultimate Lake Cabin with loads of hooks to hang your lake gear. Get ready for FUN! For magical summer visits, the living room is especially stunning with a window wall bringing in natural light and views of the spectacular and grand Sierra pine trees. The walls of windows evoke a feeling of bringing the outdoors inside. After you light up a cozy fire in the wood burning stove, It is the perfect spot to relax and unwind in this "retreat" like getaway!! It is always at least 5 to 10 degrees cooler in the mountains. The adjacent kitchen is loaded! There are full sized appliances and everything you would need to cook a special meal or bake some fresh treats! There's a dishwasher to aid with fast clean up so you can enjoy every moment of your stay. For gatherings, a large dining table with an additional chair is nearby. For indoor entertainment, we have you covered! There are two large flat screen TVs and a Nintendo and PlayStation console, so you can get your game on! For book lovers, there is a "Free Little Library" at the cabin. "Need a book? Take one. Have a book? Leave one." Not only is it super cute, it has a lot of different book options. We have plenty of board games, puzzles, and playing cards, too! For outdoor entertainment, there are two spacious decks. It turns into a magical wonderland when you step onto the deck to take in the High Sierra Ridge Views! A propane BBQ grill is always available to grill up your favorite food too! We try to keep the propane filled, but if you have to fill it up, there is a refill across the highway from the entrance into the cabin just a min drive down 108. There are plenty of deck chairs, and there's a horseshoe pit sure to bring your group loads of fun! For the car enthusiast, there is a two-car garage for you to use to keep your car enclosed and clean! This is especially good during the winter-time!
