It may seem like a peculiar Headline, but having greatly enjoyed many previous stays here in Autumn & Winter (when the Days are shorter, the Rain is more frequent, the winds are constant, etc.) we were all the more delighted to now experience Renvyle House's warm hospitality in favourable sunny weather in April. For sure, no matter what time of year you come here, you will enjoy this historic Hotel's brilliant, scenic location on the Atlantic Coast, it's comfortable facilities, its superb Food, and - above all - being cossetted by the attentive staff, but good weather makes one smile all the more ! So, this time around, as the Sun shone for most of the time, we were even happier staying at one of our absolute favourite Hotels, here in Ireland or thar lear. Our renewed thanks to the incomparable General Manager, Anne Marie + to her supportive Team, most notably, on this occasion, Tommy, Majella, Linda and the newly arrived Frenchman, Martin : well done to them + their colleagues for making our latest stay so pleasant and encouraging us to come back again...

This hotel has it all! The food is amazing, the views are breathtaking, and the accommodations are superb! However, nothing compared to the hospitality, which is world class! Ann Marie went out of her way to ensure we had an amazing experience, and we did!

Where to start...the experience at the Renvyle House blew away my expectations. I did not know what to expect after looking at pictures and reading reviews, but the experience was 300% better. Where to start? The ambiance and location is something that is out of a storybook or movie. It is simply breathtaking. You can't capture the views of the seas and hills/mountains adequately through text or even photos. The history and ambiance of the accommodations and grounds were superb. The accommodations were traditional yet enough of the modern comforts. The atmosphere was amazing with the live music (harp one night and Irish folk music the next) at night. And then you have the hospitality!! The management team and all their team members are some of the best I've experienced all over the world. They were kind and diligent and they truly went the extra mile to make it memorable. **I almost forgot about the food. Every course that came out of the kitchen was fine dining quality. The added benefit was that every course (while not always Irish cuisine) was cooked with 100% local Irish ingredients (all the finish was freshly caught!!). There are so many extras that I didn't get to experience, such as the pool, hot tub or lawn games... I would 100% return for a very unique Irish country experience...

12/10. One of the best hotels in Ireland. A gem with so much to offer. You won't be bored, lots of relaxation places or activities to keep you busy. Take your pick. Stunning staff. Yummy food. Felt truly catered for. It was hard to leave. Thanks so much

I first came to Renvyle House as a child thirty years ago. I have been there regulalry since then and last week took my children there for the first time (2 boys aged 5 and 2). We had a wonderful time. It is a truly magical spot. The scenary and isolation are spectacular. The hotel is very comfortable and well set up for children. We stayed on in one of the lovely family rooms with a balcony overlooking the croquet lawn. It had two bunk beds and plenty of space. The facilities are great for keeping kids entertained - we used the pool, playground, tennies court, croquet, rowing boat and the beach. They loved it all. The best thing about the hotel, however, is the staff. From the General Manager down to the waiters and cleaners. Everyone is incredibly friendly and eager to make sure you can relax and enjoy your time there. The food is also very good, with a wide selection for both breakfast and dinner. If you are planning to visit Connemara, a stay in Renvyle House is a must.

My daughter and I spent 3 nights. From the moment we drove in the gate after a long drive it was like heaven! Peace and calm. The first night we dined in the Bar - the other two in the Dining room . The food is excellent with choices to suit everyone. It is prepared and cooked on site with fresh produce and not like so many restaurants now buying it in and simply reheating it in the microwave. Thank you to the Chef and his team for all their wonderful work, Breakfast too is excellent and goes on til 11 am for us lazy bones ! Newspapers supplied and you can do the Crossword or the news. . Bedrooms are very comfortable as are sitting areas around the ground floor. Housekeeping is at a high standard . Every time I return something new has been done to upgrade. I recommend the Bookshop in Letterfrack to go to. Mary and Vincent are a so welcoming and helpful. They serve coffee and delicious cake as well . Also in fine weather you can sit in the garden at the back . We always go to Kylemore as well . Thank you Ann Marie for all the care and help you give us , We do appreciate it. Also thank you to your wonderful hard working team. We will be back. We also loved the play on Lady Gregory in the Library - Sean and Ros are amazing. I recommend going to them,.
