I strongly suggest you DO NOT book this hotel. I am in dispute as I write this with them. They charged me for 2 rooms for 2 nights, I never booked 2 rooms. I only booked one room for 2 nights. When we arrived her son welcomed us and clearly asked me if we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and I said no. I was confused and he said they have been having trouble with booking agent. Never thought anything more about it. When my credit card statement arrived they had charged me for two rooms for 2 nights. I have sent her emails (which she normally answers promptly) but have heard nothing. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company. Her hotel is really nicely decorated but feels a bit odd and unwelcoming as things are very dark and eerily quiet. We were so uncomfortable that we checked out early and stayed at another hotel. I DID expect to pay for that night one room since we did not meet the cancellation agreement. Treviso is a wonderful place to visit but I would highly recommend staying somewhere other than Maison Matilda. I am sorry having to write such a negative review but feel I owe it to my fellow travelers who also rely on the reviews on trip advisor.

Una hermosa casa típica de la zona, que cuida los aromas, la decoración y el buen gusto. La ubicación exacta para salir al centro de Treviso y estar a unos pasos de todo. La habitación con todo su sabor italiano de hermosa tradición, decorada con estilo particular que te hacen sentir en un cuento de época, y a la vez con todas las comodidades que me gustan. Viviana siempre atenta a ofrecerme exactamente lo que yo necesito y de manera excepcional.

Upon arrival, we rang the bell at the locked door for 20 minutes and tried contacting the host through WhatsApp. Finally rang the house (casa) bell and got checked in. We were told to contact through WhatsApp for additional service. Nice room, but after returning from a walk and dinner, realized that there was no hot water (we were not told this at check in). Again, tried contacting the host through WhatsApp several times without response. Went outside and rang the house bell again. The host's son made a show of not being aware of the problem. (After talking to another couple, we realized that this was not true.) At this point, it was too late to get another room. The host's son said he would contact Mr. and Mrs. Smith to provide compensation for us. After 2 weeks with no further communication, we contacted Hyatt and were told that the host had given us 2 splits of Prosecco, breakfast (which was already included in the price), and a ride to the train station (which was within walking distance), so we were offered 2000 points in compensation. In my opinion, this is not adequate for ZERO hot water that we were not informed about at check-in. Poor customer service by Hyatt and extremely bad service at Maison Matilda.

Purtroppo è stata un’esperienza negativa Faceva caldo e lasciando balcone aperto le zanzare hanno invaso la camera che non è munita di aria condizionata Nottataccia… viso attaccato dalle noiose zanzare. Appuntamento alle 8 per colazione: alle 7 mi sveglio preparo il caffè ma è molto poco piacevole ! Poi vorrei fare la doccia ma non c’è acqua calda …. Attendo ma non c’è .. allora provo a telefonare la reception ma nessuno risponde. Alle 7.50 comunico con la proprietaria e vengo rassicurata che in 10-15 min avrò acqua calda .. alle 8.50 non c’è acqua calda … niente doccia stamattina… Decido di lasciare questa struttura e non resto un’altra notte a dormire come pianificato. Nonostante la piacevole e originale struttura , i servizi non sono stati accettabili. Bagno poco praticabile per mancanza di altezze in alcune parti , coperchio del wc rumoroso nell’apertura o chiusura crea noia a chi riposa e finestra troppo piccola e di difficile apertura. Sedie fuori al balcone scomode. Duvet sul letto senza adeguata copertura , copriletto e lenzuola con odore di poco pulito Insomma certamente non tornerò in questa struttura in futuro

The room I was allocated had a heavy stench of cigarettes. Viviana, the Manager/owner, acknowledged the stench, but either had not checked the room before arrival or chose to leave the stench unaddressed. The room was very dark, with almost no natural light; the windows were opened onto walls. There wasn’t a proper closet for clothes and the bathroom had a low ceiling and no shower. The breakfast room was dark and dingy and the furniture upholstery had holes. Parking was hard to access and in tandem with two other cars making entering and exiting cumbersome and difficult. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience. Even if the stench were set aside, the darkness and gloominess of the property, plus worn out furniture and poor facilties made Maison Matilda uncomfortable, unwelcoming and overpriced. The awkward parking arrangements added to the property’s drawbacks.

Non ho mai dormito così bene in un Bed and Breakfast, forse è dovuto al fatto dell'accoglienza ricevuta dal team Maison Matilda. Inoltre, la struttura seppur costruita tanti anni fa, una classica residenza borghese, è in perfette condizioni: dal pavimento al soffitto. Apprezzato molto il design e l'ambiente unico che caratteristica questa struttura, difficile da trovare.

Fantastisches Boutiquehotel in Herzen Trevisos Wunderschönes, gemütliches, kleines aber feines Hotel im Herzen Trevisos. Der Empfang der Hausherrin war super freundlich, das Bett sehr bequem und das Zimmer angenehm groß und in ruhiger Lage. Alles war sauber. Parkplatz war in der Anlage gegen Bezahlung vorhanden, was für uns sehr praktisch war. Alles in allem hatten wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und es gibt nichts zu kritisieren.
