金銀島金沙飯店(The Sands of Treasure Island)

Soggiorno di 4 notti. Punti a favore: 1) posizione praticamente sulla spiaggia,2) silenzioso e tranquillo, 3) fascino del vecchio stile dell’hotel, 4) personale disponibile per il check in anche alle 3,30 di mattina, 5) presenza di una mini cucina con pochi accessori. Punti a sfavore: 1) mancanza assoluta di pulizia in 3 giorni non hanno mai pulito la camera, rifatto i letti, cambiato gli asciugamani, vuotato i cestini nonostante i miei solleciti, 2) manutenzione inesistente con pezzi di tenda veneziana caduti, infissi scrostati, vasca e lavabo senza tappo, assenza di asciugacapelli in camera, 3) letti scomodi con coprimaterasso di plastica, 4) condizionatore rumoroso con perdita di acqua in terrazza. Con una manutenzione migliore diventerebbe un buon albergo in cui piacevolmente soggiornare a prezzo moderato.

Typical “old Florida” property. Excellent location on the beach. Apparently closing after season and new building going up. Maybe condos?

Property is in a great location close to beach with nice pool. Its an older motel and needs a lot of updates.

Raining and cold weather but really enjoyed the outdoor heated pool in the rain. Nostalgic hotel from the past and direct access to the beach which was why we picked it. Big room with basic older furnishings and clean.

We had such a wonderful time there. We were able to enjoy the company of family amd friends. I would definitely recommend this stay and plan to stay again soon.

This hotel is classic Florida. A mom and pop place. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our TV didn’t work. Within 10 min we got another. It was clean relaxing, on the beach and boardwalk. We loved the retro beachside place as opposed to a huge, sterile high rise resort. Unfortunately the Sands sadly closes in August a victim of a corporate grab. The family will make money but they said it was bittersweet losing the property. We will miss it. It will remain a good memory of “old” classic Florida.

This is not the fanciest place to stay on the beach. Our first room was dirty and we needed to be changed to another room our second room was very clean very plain there is nothing fancy about this place. It is perfect for a couple days stay if you are on a budget and you want to be able to walk straight out to the beach. This facility really needs some updating and I would say the rooms really need to be upgraded in decor. I understand the hotel is 77 years old but for the location and price you pay to stay that hotel could have so much more potential. The best thing about this place is it's directly on the beach and that the front desk was available 24 hours so if I had any issues no matter the time the nice lady in the front was always there to help me. All the people that work ,pare all very nice and sweet, friendly. It's a little run down it really needs some TLC and I hope the owners read this and give that building what it needs cuz it could be a diamond in the rough. It would look 10 times better even with Dollar store decor. Those rooms could be made to look really cute. I didn't mind parking down the street it really is not that far like people like to act it's really close not far at all. I would stay here again but only if it was my last resort.

This property is very old. It’s being sold and is barely being maintained. Staff is very nice.
