Absolute quality and our only disappointment with this hotel was that our booking was only for 1 night! Room was quaint, clean and comfortable. Free car parking provided. Location fine - 20 minute walk to the castle - lovely wander through the village or down by the various lakes. What absolutely made this stay so wonderful was the lovely decking area overlooking the fantastic lake and the service from the young lady who did everything, morning, noon and night, serving food and drinks. We had lunch and dinner here (separate review under the restaurant - probably our favourite meal whilst travelling around Latvia and Lithuania) and breakfast too. Particularly enjoyed a bottle of wine at night just taking the lake view in with hot air balloons floating high over. Breakfast was equally fantastic, undoubtedly the best of the holiday. Great place.

A well-located guest house with an insufficient number of parking spaces. Your rating will depend entirely on the room you choose - rooms with a lake view are bright, quiet and pleasant, but with a view of the street - dark, noisy (it is better not to open the window) and with a bad smell (toilets ? ). Pseudo-style furniture, heavy, clumsy, non-functional, but obviously initially expensive.Strange, it seems, synthetic, bedding. There are much nicer guesthouses in Trakai...
