The hotel is in a good location, a 2 minute walk down to the harbour and lots of restaurants in walking distance. As others have mentioned the car parking lets this hotel down. The car park is council owned with a section for premier inn guests, the lift to the hotel wasn’t working and we couldn’t make the many flights of stairs with our luggage and a pushchair so we walked round and down the hill to the entrance. On arrival I told a member of staff that the lift was broken and she said they were aware. I asked why they can’t put a sign up to inform people there is no lift Available but I was told that because it’s a council park it’s nothing to do with them! Not the best first impression however the staff at breakfast were very friendly.

We were shocked how bad the stairwell entrance into premier in was an we were told this has been going on for weeks. First of all the car park was blocked off for some reason and we had to ask where to park.We eventually parked and as i dont use lifts i went down the stairwell and it was awful as you can see from the pictures.Rubbish debris,sleeping bags etc etc,also flooding near the lift door I have never been to any place that has been so bad. I dont know why premier inn are taking bookings and still allowing this to carry on I rang Horizon (who run the car park) and complained and they said it is down to Premier inn to sort out the problem. I asked for a refund but was told a member of staff she was on her own and couldn't action this. When leaving a day later i went to use the stairway again but some one was sprawled across the stairs and the rubbish was still there so i turned around and did a big detour to get back to our car. The one girl we did see during our stay was helpful and the hotel is in a good position but i would say to avoid at all costs until someone sorts these problems. I would love to return one day but not until these problems are sorted out..............

Andrew, the so called manager was disgraceful. I’m disabled with a serious heart condition and I was expected to park in a council car park and take 5 flights of stairs as the lift was full of urine and faeces! He refused to help me! I asked him for help with my bags and he said no!

Nice modern hotel and excellent location for the marina and seafront. Some staff excellent some staff not. Have stayed there possibly 100 nights over the past year on business. One one occasion was told off by a member of staff for quietly reading emails on my phone whilst having dinner and she insisted on standing staring till I put my phone away. Odd behaviour. This week I was woken at 10pm by a member of staff banging on my room door as there was apparently an outstanding balance of £2.60 to be paid on my restaurant bill from 3 hours earlier. I was on the 2nd night of a 5 night stay so how about speaking to me about it at breakfast the following morning rather than wake me up and insist I get dressed and come down to the restaurant to pay. They promote a good night's sleep guaranteed ..... they failed this week

Lovely hotel in a great location. Kirsty very helpful. Breakfast cooked to order and staff lovely. Note that the car park is a tricky one, first part is owned by Torbay Council Not Premier Inn, got a £50 fine, would be helpful if when checking in the reception asked where you have parked? No blue badge outside reception as one customer got £70 fine! Be aware! Would stay again and recommend premium rooms!

Very clean and new Room clean and fresh ,Harry happy aswell and lovely view of a brick wall and side view of carpark . Over all satisfied with hotel .
