Horror story with this company. The worst experience after 20 years we operate tours in Indonesia. We ordered a stay in Black Marlin for a group of 11 people, as well as 3 private charter boat transfers. We payed everything in advance as the owner of Black Marlin resort, Crispin Gibbs, insisted. We waited in Ampana for a speedboat from Black Marlin. The boat came 3 hours later and was broken. We went on the sea and after 10 minutes the engine stopped working and the boat was non functional. We had to find a new speed boat which was very expensive due to last minute booking. After arrival in the resort, we did not have our rooms ready and there was no staff to take care of us, only two young boys, who can not keep up and run the whole resort. The accomodation is in a really bad shape. The bathrooms in most of the rooms are not functioning. The place is not maintained. I ordered day trips for my group in advance, but there was nobody to organize the day trips with. We managed to move to the next resort, Kadidiri Paradise, which is very well maintained and has a very helpfull staff. We had to organize new charter boat transfers, as the boat from Black Marlin was brokend. Neither the owner of Black Marlin, neither the staff of Black Marlin tried to helps us to find a new boat. They did not contact us in this matter at all. Now the owner Crispin Gibbs, who lives in Bali and does not care about the resort at all, refuses to return our payment back. The police will be involved in this matter. Avoid this resort and save yourself a lot of trouble.
