For added entertainment, you will find a ping-pong table for friendly competitions with friends. This unique location sets the scene for comfort and stylish décor. Designed by a local artist, it includes elements of nature throughout, including a pebble stone shower, natural wood arches, and artistically designed cement floors. Walk into an open layout with abundant natural light and a sliding door wall. The furnishings are tastefully colorful yet exceptionally calming.*** This home does require walking down some stairs to access the living room and climbing a ladder to access the second bedroom***Enter the front door to this tri-level home, and you'll find an open living and dining room layout. Straight ahead is the tastefully decorated mid-century living room with a smart television, walk-out sliding doors to our patio, and an open view of the kitchen and dining room.Our kitchen, including all dishes, cooking utensils, and pans, is stocked for your visit. The owners have also supplied a beautiful array of spices for the chef in the family. The dining table provides ample space for eight guests, and a dining table is also offered on the back patio.Before walking down the few steps to the living room and dining room, you will find a small nook to your left with a trundle bed and a small television. Sleeping in this area is considered a common area and does not provide privacy. (Two twin beds are available here)To your immediate right is the ladder to our Loft bedroom and the door to our garage. Our garage offers a ping-pong table for additional entertainment! There is also a high-top table, chairs, and a washer and dryer for extended stays.The upper loft provides two queen beds and closet space to unpack. Plush pillows and crisp, clean white linens will bring a peaceful night's sleep. (Please note that there is no privacy door to this bedroom)Please remember that we are a small mountain community, not a sterile environment! You might see bugs, including flies, mosquitos, ants, etc., or small animals, such as lizards, mice, squirrels, birds, and possibly a large animal, such as dogs, wild turkeys, and perhaps even a bear! We do not invite these creatures into our homes and make every effort to keep them out. On that note, please do not leave the sliding doors wide open. This is a perfect way for them to enter! REDTAIL HOUSE Is a secluded View Home with wrap around deck and everything a discriminating couple or small family would want to relax, read, prepare meals, and sleep superbly. The Entry opens to the view of the private courtyard with private hot tub. Through the double french doors you will find the large, beautiful, modern Kitchen with island and dining table and seating for four. There you’ll find a well stocked pantry, coffee bar, my personal collection of local art and access to the deck with table and chairs, plus a propane grill and awesome cross-canyon views. Also off of the Entry you'll go up two steps to the very cute Library then pass through double french pocket doors to the Living Room complete with smart TV, Lazy Boy recliner, propane fireplace, piano, writing desk and more art. This sounds grand but it’s a small house that lives large. In the Primary Bedroom is outfitted with a fabulous Cal King bed, closet and chair as well as deck access. The bathroom, just off the hallway, has a wonderfully deep soaking tub with shower. The Second Bedroom has a very comfortable Murphy wall bed single, a chair, closet and another access to the courtyard. In that Courtyard you will find the private spa/hot tub perfect after a long day hiking in Sequoia. There is a separate Laundry Room off of the kitchen and primary bedroom that is well stocked with all the products you’ll need. There is a Tesla charger available for your use at Redtail Cottage (the guest house) and a “Teslatap” adapter for others. IMPORTANT: There are 17 rock steps from the parking to the house level that need to be considered making REDTAIL HOUSE inconvenient for guests with mobility issues. Nestled into the hillside of a quiet neighborhood, this home is an excellent location for two families to share a Sequoia vacation together! The main floor offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and a wrap-around deck to enjoy the outdoors from all sides. During winter, a beautiful river-stone fireplace provides a cozy social setting in the main living room, with a large sofa. The main level also has a brand-new kitchen, two king-sized bedrooms, and two full baths. The bottom floor is great for kids, with a bunk room that can sleep 5 (one bunk is a triple). Next to the bunk room is a fun game room with board games, a keyboard, television, DVDs, and a record player with a collection of classic vinyl. Both levels of the house have their outside entry, so there’s no need to carry luggage up or down any stairs.The newly remodeled house has an eclectic modern flair. The kitchen has all-new stainless steel appliances, beautiful butcher-block countertops, and plenty of dishes and utensils for preparing family feasts!The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination. There is plenty of space in the dresser to unpack your belongings. The room has a ceiling fan, dimmer switch lighting, and beautiful natural lighting from the large windows that open towards the mountains.The second bedroom on the upper floor also offers a comfortable king-size bed, great natural lighting, and an adjacent full bath in the next room. This home has WiFi access to the internet, but cell phone reception is limited to AT&T. This house is approximately 15 minutes from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. We are driving distance from all businesses in town, although it is a pleasant walk down the driveway and into the local neighborhood. Just be prepared to go back UP to the long, steep driveway!Two master Bedrooms make this an ideal space for two families traveling together. The third bedroom offers three beds for all the children, and the fourth bedroom gives Grandma and Grandpa privacy!Both Master bedrooms have a private bathroom, king-size beds, additional seating areas, and great views from either location. One master bedroom is downstairs, and the other is upstairs.The third and fourth bedrooms will be on the second floor. The third bedroom includes two twin beds and a queen bed with closet space for suitcases. The fourth bedroom has a full-size bed with a large closet. The lower level includes the living room, kitchen, laundry room, main bedroom, and two bathrooms. The upper level offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms.The expansive deck extends along the backside of the house, with entry and exit locations in the living room and master bedroom. It offers outdoor seating, a propane BBQ, and a SEASONAL fire pit. The fire pit has seasonal restrictions, and you must supply your firewood.A maximum of three cars is always allowed at this location as it is a "Shared" driveway. We do not want them to feel like a freeway is next to them. Please also know that the driveway is paved but steep, curvy, and narrow.The best part? Your best family friend is allowed because we are pet-friendly! There is plenty of room to roam, but please be mindful of property boundaries and do not trespass.
