We loved our short stay at the Mahana House Country Inn during our week long honeymoon on the Big Island.
Mahana House was our favorite beating out another nice cottage in Volcano and two resort hotels in Hilo and Kona Waikoloa. We will be back on our next Hawaiian vacation and will definately stay longer at Mahana House. Mahalo!!!

This property was everything you could want and need! 10000/10! Best stay in Hilo! Highly recommend. Everything is not too far and the location is tucked away from the town which makes it perfect for a peaceful time. Would definitely come back!

Gorgeous peaceful property, we were shocked at how nice the room was and how comfortable the beds were. Nice getaway from Hilo and not too far to get back into town. We also loved the cats on the property :)

We enjoyed staying here. As a big cat lover I was pleased of the friendly cats they had.
The only negative side was the noise which started between 7-8am on mornings. We stayed in unit number 1 so I think that the staff started their day in the room next to ours. Also a sponge for dishes in the room would be nice to have - now we had to borrow it from the kitchen.

The condo is so nice! You could get in touch with the nature, the rain, the wind! The room is very spacious and clean! The mattress is also very awesome, we got adjust to the firmness we preferred. The host is so nice and you could see how much effort they put to set guests with a comfortable and cozy place to chill. This place made me want to travel to big island purely for Hilo : )

Want to get away to some peace and quiet on the east side of Big Island? This is the place to stay, especially if you like cats (there were 7 friendly ones hanging around us daily) and prefer to prepare your own meals instead of dealing with the very limited and pricey nearby restaurant options. Hilo is less than 30 minutes away for supermarkets and plenty of dining options.
