WinStar World Casino and Resort

We stayed on 15th floor and hot water completely shut off during my shower in the morning. Sound coming from faucets indicated no water pressure or they shut the hot water off. No hot water at the sink either. Started back after 20 minutes. Their explanation was there was no maintenance report. I was telling them right then and called front desk but didn't ask maintenance to come up because we were checking out.

I was very disappointed in my most recent visit to Winstar and likely won’t return. A staff member was extremely rude and condescending, and it was not appropriate. Management should be aware of how staff treats their customers onsite. I would recommend Choctaw instead!

Beautiful rooms. Very quiet considering it's in a ******. Good access to the ******. Many good restaurants in the ******. Valet parking is a good value.

We stayed in the Pool Tower. The check in was very efficient and friendly, not like Las Vegas. Our room was nice, clean and well stocked with a great view of the pool area. The complimentary water was a much appreciated touch. The decor is modern and pleasing to the eye. Everything appeared to be in good repair. I did have some difficulty sleeping due to the mattress not being quite to my liking, but that is a personal gripe and may not affect anyone else. Winstar does a good job with the friendly staff and courteous hosts. We ate at the Grand Via buffet and I must say that the crab legs, prime rib and mashed potatoes were great. Our server was also very good despite the large number of guests. We did not opt to eat any of the self serve food (that is just our preference). The slots were very very tight that night, more so than I can ever remember in the past, so not so much fun if you don't get to win at least a little now and then. My biggest gripe had to do with eating lunch the next day at Mickey Mantle's Bar and grill. I had met Mr. Mantle when I was a child. While our server was pleasant and responsive, he was the only good thing about the experience. The coffee was some of the worst I have ever tasted (and I can drink some pretty bad stuff, but not this). I did notify our server and he offered to bring another cup, but I refused once I discovered it would be from the same pot!!!!. We both ordered a Hamburger and fries for $48.88 without tip or drinks (he took the coffee charge off our bill). The fries were good and the Hamburgers were without flavor, there was no salt or pepper in sight and I did not want to flag someone down to complain again, so I just opted to take a few bites and couldn't eat the rest. The water also had the tin taste of the coffee, so we couldn't drink that either. Have you ever eaten fries and not had anything to wash it down? I came away with wonder. I wonder how this restaurant stays in business? I got the impression that they do not value their staff and it shows.

The Pool. We came to the resort for a couples weekend staycation and to spend time around the pool. We arrived at 1, got our room and walked down to the pool to spend the afternoon sun bathing and resting. The place was already packed. No chairs available, kids throwing footballs in the pool and outside the pool, doing canon ball jumps from the sides even though it’s against the rules. 2 guys brought a huge speaker and were permitted to blast music. It was out of control. So if you are adults planning to spend some relaxing time by what could otherwise be a nice pool, I don’t recommend it. If on the other hand you have kids, this is the place. Not going back!
